The new trailer

The original trailer

The original is an absolute classic. Can Bruce Willis live up to the Bronson legend?

I'm not big on going to the movies but this is one I'll definitely see.

Yeah, Bruce Willis is gold. He'll be awesome.

They have remade this movie so many different ways its ridiculous. They've even made one with Jodie Foster playing the lead

Could be interesting. Not sure it's worth spending $50 to see it in the theater.

I first had the opportunity to see Bruce Willis in a theater in Moorhead City, NC. There were two movies playing in the theater, one a cartoon and the other was Die Hard. I had heard of Willis as far as Moonlighting with the blond actress. I was torn because I really didn't want to see either. But I relented and it was one of the most enjoyable theater experiences I had had. They sort of wore out the franchise, although there were some memorable moments. The African military movie was good. REDS and the sequel was enjoyable as well. My point is that Bruce Willis pleasantly surprised me and he has had hits and misses in the interim. So I may keep an eye out for this one.

You mean Tears of the Sun? That was a good movie.

At first I thought No. You can't replace Charles Bronson. Then I went back and looked at some of the scenes of Charles Bronson. For their time they were pretty good. But looking back they were also pretty 2 dimensional. The criminals in Charles Bronson often looked like guys who were on the high school debate team.

Then I watched this new trailer with Bruce Willis. It looks good. Maybe not Clint Eastwood good but good enough.

Good lord another remake? :doh

It's a pity Chris Nolan is the only director left coming out with original material.

Bronson was fantastic... if anyone hasn't seen The Mechanic, go watch it. If anyone might be able to do this remake justice, Bruce Willis might.

Another great movie I thought was Michael Douglas in Falling Down. The acting was perfect. A normal 9-5 guy has just had enough of it.

I'm a big Bronson fan.
"The Mechanic" was great, but I really liked him in "Hard Times".
Something about his stoic toughness always appealed to me.
Kind of a low budget Clint Eastwood.
