How has this thread not been started already? Anyways, this season has been awesome so far. I wish I had the whole thing. I'd binge watch them all and not move.

What does everyone think?

It's been pretty good so far. Tonights was the best so far, the ending got me a bit confused though. I had thought Cersei already knew

No, they all believed it was Tyrion.

I figured she knew it wasn't him but she just had an excuse to kill him since she always blamed Tyrion for the death of their mother.

Alas, this will be my last episode for a while, my subscription to HBO expires this month, and I'm not renewing it. I was getting it for free for two years, for switching from frontier to Comcast. I'm not gonna pay 200 a month for TV, phone, and Internet, just so I can get HBO, especially when this show is about the only thing I want from it.

My predictions...

Tyrion rides a dragon to burn the iron fleet, and succeeds, while Dany goes for kings landing with her other 2 dragons, but one is either horribly wounded/crippled, or killed. Jon Snow and Dany get close....real close, and then, the big reveal, Jon is Raegars son.

Nah, she's crazy, and after he killed her father, it reinforced her belief.

Cervix is bat**** paranoid nuts. Like, Alex jones crazy, and completely free of morality, like her father. Terrible combination.

HBO now is $15 a month.

Also, Jon has to ride a dragon if Tyrion is.

Also, that scene with Cersi and the two girls from Dorn(names are hard) was hard to watch. Such cruelty.

I watch it here:

Yeah. She is her fathers daughter, completely devoid of empathy, or morality, but her father, at least, understood the you had to put on the show, much the same way Bolton did.

Well, those "girls" poisoned Cersi's daughter.
Payback was pretty rough back in those imaginary days.

They poisoned her daughter, because her man killed their father, who was trying to kill her man because he killed his sisters? Children, I think....something like that.

The fighting was also very confusing back in those imaginary days.
Some of the battle scenes are such melees that it would seem to be impossible to determine if one his hacking friend or foe at any given time.
Evidently, there wasn't much concern about "friendly fire".....or more accurately "friendly de-capitation"....back in those days.

They are getting so fast and loose with the story.....things that make no sense or could not happen are routinely employed now to get the story where they want it or to get to the scene they want to shoot.....which is starting to annoy me.

Really hope they change the pace next week,,,,,if this is going to be BAM BAM BAM all the way to the end then I will be disappointed, and this is after my last two shows (Weeds, Mad Men) limped to the end.

Less violence/More sex would be nice.

Well, to be honest, I think of all large, mideival battle scenes that way.

Like, you in the middle of this horde of people, like a giant mash pit, and you've got this sharpened hunk of metal in your hand, and....everyone looks pretty much the same. How do you know who to kill?

Well I mean I thought that's why Jamie helped him escape because he knew that he didn't do it.

Im gonna have to re watch some parts I think

What have they forced that doesn't make sense?

I have to agree and last nights show was particularly offensive taking events which would have been shown for weeks in just the span of a few minutes - the battle scenes particularly.

I get the impression they said they only have so many shows left and they have to get it all in in that limited times when otherwise it would have taken three times as much if they kept to the pacing of the first five seasons.

Agreed.

The kings layer let him go out of guilt, out of owing him for a life he robbed from him with a lie.

It is the money grubbing idea of spitting the last season into two years that is the problem....these show runners have obviously decided that every episode has to feel like a big budget summer blockbuster to keep the fans happy given how few shows we get a year, which actually makes me unhappy because the big summer block busters are designed to appeal to un fully formed youth, not adults, and I want adult storytelling.

Or maybe I am wrong and at least one of the next two shows changes the pace, but I am not optimistic.

Great third episode. Simply great.
