In 2018, this TV Show is returning with the original cast...

I doubt Galecki will be back. He's busy and getting rich as hell on another show.

I don't watch Big Bang much because I claim it's prejudice against my people, I hadn't actually recognized him as the same actor on Roseanne

Him.. And Sara Gilbert. Though she's not a regular and not on much anymore. The 1st few years of BBT she was on quite a lot then.

And I got to ask.. Prejudice against your people?

Physicists.

Well, in my old job I knew a couple of physicists and a whole bunch of other really, REALLY smart guys in other fields. Engineers, programmers, etc. And i got to say, socially they were all pretty awkward and out there. 1 Physicist I knew showed up for work everyday in a cowboy hat and a warm bottle of diet Coke. Every single day. He was a research physicist and IIRC nominated for a Fellowship. He didn't drive so sometimes I took him home, he lived in an apartment in a worse part of town and so small and run down a homeless person might say no too.

He was BRILLIANT and made millions, but as far as I knew he never spent a dime of it. Seems like the smarter they were the weirder they were. So some of the comedy on BBT I can understand. It's exaggerated for comedy. But maybe not too much. lol

Present company excluded. :)

Warm diet coke? Gross.

Physicists certainly can be awkward, but my comment about BBT being prejudice against my people was mostly tongue-in-cheek. But they certainly are not drunk enough, and given how many PhDs they have there, several of them should be smoking weed. And it's likely Sheldon.

I know you are just kidding around. But when you mentioned that I remember that Physicist I use to work with. Believe me I am NOT a Physicist, nor even in the ball park when it comes to smarts with some of the guys I worked with. I was in Maintenance/engineering and sometimes some of us would get sent on 6-12 months assignments with the geniuses to help them do the menial grunt work that, even though they were smart as hell, they had no idea how to do the menial stuff.

I just never forgot that 1 Physicist and his cowboy hat(this is NY) and his warm diet coke. He was a character.

It reinforces stereotypes, sure i suppose, it also appeals to their humanity and provokes the audience to empathize with them.

Every character on every show reflects on broad categories, so i view it as inevitable. I suppose i'm glad my kind is getting some form of mainstream respect.

Physicists.
Physicist are people? :)

Oddly, the only people I know that would argue the label are physicist. Very strange, very smart.

If they can get him to guest star with Sheldon it will be a ratings bonanza.
