My first concert was the Scorpions with Girlschool opening for them in 1982.

1966 ventures at the budokan
beatles played there the same year. 13 and had to choose

Odetta at the Schenectady armory. It must have been 1968 or early 1969 since I know my brother wasn't with us which means he wasn't born yet. My primary memory of the show is that she broke a guitar strings and needed to resting the guitar in the middle of the show.

Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson, 2003ish.

That's a weird combo.

Wasn't a memorable show. Dylan's voice was completely shot and he forgot a bunch of lyrics..

In 1984 I saw The Monsters Of Rock Tour in Germany. AC/DC, Van Halen, Ozzy Osbourne, Dio, Gary Moore, Accept, and Motley Crue. Ozzy was fat and awful, David Lee Roth forgot the words, Gary Moore was great, and AC/DC was.....well....fantastic.

Rock Stars can let themselves go, especially if they develop alcohol/drug use disorder.

Billy Joel, Rochester NY, 1984. I was 7.

First concert without a parental unit was Nine Inch Nails, Buffalo, 1994.

I saw Dylan in 2007, and it was severely disappointing.

Red Hot Chili Peppers with the Mars Volta, 2006. Anybody remember the Mars Volta? I think they got lost somewhere.

Us youngsters really need a time machine invented soon. I'd kill to see those bands in their prime.

Beatles, Capitol Theatre Cardiff 1964

Live in 1994. I was 1, and a wee baby on my mom's shoulder. Been to too many to remember lol.

IIRC, Rory Gallagher and openned by Aerosmith - free concert at Prince George's Community College (Largo, MD) in 1973.

In This Moment - In 2011. It was a pretty bitchin show.

Julliard String Quartet. When I was a little kid, a couple who were my parents' friends would take me to wonderful concerts--in chamber settings, you're able almost always to meet the musicians afterward at the reception and really talk to them. And the husband was a reviewer and a liner-notes writer for Archiv records, so I was blessed with many fantastic opportunities.

My very strict parents never allowed me to attend any rock concerts, and I had to wait until I was off at college. I was #1, but by the time #3 was 15, they let her. And never knew what this little "saint" was up to, which included partying with Tim Curry in a motel room.

The Jacksons' Victory Tour in Dallas, 1984. My aunt and uncle took me. I actually found video of the exact concert.

April 17, 1970.

Memphis, TN.

Led Zeppelin with a 3 hour no opening act concert.

$7.50 ticket.
