Stevie Nicks voice...

Here's a version of the Chain sung by only Stevie which I never heard before.

About the only song I can forgive Fleetwood Mac (the non Peter Green version) for.

After Green left, they were a Meh, commercially oriented middle-of-the-road band focused on the American market.

I always rated Christine McVeigh's voice better of the two. I don't rate her in the same league as Sandy Denny, Maddy Prior, Linda Ronstadt or Annie Haslam-All contemporaries of hers. But Lindsay Buckingham wrote stuff that really helped Stevie's voice. My favorite being this one

Actually Stevie wrote Silver Springs - and all the songs she sang.

At least for Rumours the way the band worked was each of the three song writers brought material to the table and then the band along with their recording engineer / producer jointly worked up the arrangements.

The guy who engineered the album wrote a book about it called "The Making of Rumours". Interesting look into how that band worked - or didn't with all the personal drama they were pretty messed up. The author was eventually given a producers credit for his contributions and retired wealthy from that one album.
