Police 1013: Police Simulator

Just putting this out there. This game is coming out and it seems like it might be the actual police game that a lot of people have wanted. If you know anyone who likes playing on the right side of the law (instead of just murdering hookers and random homeless people in GTA)...this might be the game for them. Check it out. Made by wingman games. They are working on an alpha.

Will it allows me to plant evidence, beat confessions out of suspects and shoot until armed men? That sounds like a heck of a game.
 
Might also check out This Is the Police. It doesn't presume to be a realistic simulator, but you play a police chief, and get to deal with hiring, firing, resource management, and combining clues to solve major crimes.

The plot is pretty fun, also, as you get caught up in all sorts of city politics and shady business. You can try to play it straight, but you're often stuck choosing between bad options. The game begins with the announcement that you're resigning.

That sounds hilarious actually. Yea. 1013 is looking to have all the same stuff that real police have and focus on patrol up to swat and k9 and so on. Could be pretty awesome.

So you sit in a digitized car and look at traffic for 8 hours, occasionally playing with a radar gun, paying on your digitized iphone, and drinking coffee (or napping - I've seen it)?

lol. I'm sure they will make it so that that is not the case. But if you think that is what cops do...you need to go on a ride along in a decent sized city on a night shift. It may not be car chases and gun fights...but it isn't boring. We have a high addiction rate and lots of drunks here in America. Makes for a lot of domestic violence bs.

Including a fat woman who answers the door topless after calling the police on her boyfriend. Yes. Saw it. Was not amused.

Well, there are certainly parts that aren't boring, but I have heard that stuff like basic traffic duty is seriously dull

I'm sure it is. I only went to 2 traffic incidents in the ride alongs. One was a side swipe and another was a headlights off incident. But I got lucky and got the guys who didn't respond to that stuff. And my town has an entire traffic division just for that. They do accidents only.

Taste good? I'm partial to ghost pepper. Gives me a euphoric sensation almost. All the endorphins. But seriously. It is bad enough getting it in your eye just from mild contact.

No actually I wasn't talking about pepper spray, but LE'ing in general.


Something came up and they somehow forgot to spray me in class, and I "forgot" to draw their attention to that fact.


I ended up getting plenty of blowback anyway... my Sgt would spray someone in a heartbeat. Little fella, kinda jumpy.

Yea. That isn't surprising. I used to input tickets for my county court house as a temp job. There was this motorcycle cop...a short bald guy (looked like a penis). Which was appropriate because he was a dick and wrote his tickets with a felt tip pen that was unreadable.

He would write his tickets worse if anyone complained. They apparently stopped inputting his tickets and the judge would throw them out.
