One of my best friends on Facebook is John Szabo, who is the brother of Gabor Szabo, a fantasitic Hungarian jazz artist who passed away years ago, but left his mark on jazz, and was a major influence on me. John has posted some stuff by Gabor I had never heard before, and since I have also heard other Hungarian artists I like (Omega is another favorite of mine), I thought that, since I wasn't playing a gig tonight, I would look up some random Hungarian music on Youtube. What I found is this: You won't understand the words, but words don't need to be said where it comes to music. Music is a universal language. This isn't Gabor Szabo I am posting, but a traditional Gypsy group, and their talent will make your jaw drop to the floor.

Enjoy. :)

They're good but you've got to be careful. While you're watching them play their brother or cousin will be stealing your wallet.
