I was floored by a movie/musical/biographical recently and can’t get it out of my head “Beyond the Sea” Its about the life and times of Bobby Darin.

The floored part for me was that Kevin Spacey (actor and artist) used his own voice on all songs and co-produced this film. Kevin is vocally stunning and I think surpasses Bobby Darin who's nickname was the voice for his range and command with singing and stage presence.

This type of music is not my thing or preference I’m a blues guy and Allman brothers and SRV fan But Wow, we have some serious talent going on.

I was shocked the first time I heard him sing. There are several famous stars that have incredible singing talent.

I had no idea of the talent with Kevin Spacey, It’s to bad this film wasn’t done better or more mainstream, he would have won every accolade and award out there.

This clip with the young man/kid is right out of broadway, the best of broadway.


 
Kevin Spacey is one of my all time favorite actors. if he's part of a movie or show, chances are better than not that it's worth seeing.

My favorite Keven Spacey performance was as Mel Profitt in the 80's TV Show 'Wiseguy'.

I really liked Bobby Darin. He even did a cover of, "If I Had a Hammer."

Michele Lee from 'Knots Landing' can really sing and Katharine McPhee and so on. Many actors were singers first that didn't make it. Elvis, Johnny Cash and others acted.
