I know right? My kids keep talking about her so I look at her YouTube stuff now and then and I see her in my wifes celeb porn mags and maybe a Super Bowl or something, but I never see much worth noting.

I say the same thing about her husband, though he is a great businessman.

Give me someone like Lana Del Rey over over Queen Bee(how pretentious can we be?).

Sometimes think polls like this should have two black people or two white people as "popularity" can come down to simple race. Especially on DP.

A lot of people don't, but based on the Grammy Awards those two ladies are the "biggest" right now.

I was discussing who might be more popular with a 21 year old.

21 year old insisted, that without question Beyonce was far bigger. I said that within her age-group I'm sure that was the case, but that Adele was capable of carrying a larger age range.

It was a diversion from talking about politics. So... :mrgreen:

My guess would be probably Beyonce? Adele is a bigger deal here than in the US. But I could be biased about Beyonce's popularity over here, being an American natively.

I voted who cares. Ultimately popularity is just about the least important thing ever.

But I am not part of the crew that's too hip to give them credit where it's due. It's fashionable to slag off pop artists, but it's also misguided and honestly just comes across as something people say because it's the "cool" thing to say. Not everything pop is terrible. The Beatles, Whitney Houston, and the David Bowie were pop, let's keep in mind.

Lemonade is a fantastic piece of work, and I say that as someone who's not generally into Beyonce. I finally watched it after months of people pestering me to, and I wish I'd done it sooner. And Adele is a pretty great artist all around. You don't have to necessarily "like" either one of them to recognize that.

I prefer Adele's music, but I am sure that overall Beyonce is more popular. She has a wider range of supporting business that seem to be doing well.

The cameras kept going back to the power couple and Jay-Z would not smile at all, until Adele was saying that Beyonce should have won the big prize.

What a piece of crap he is.
 
Beyonce sucks, imo, but I don't doubt that she's the more popular of the two.
