Why is Ghostbusters third? The movie's budget/revenue disparity isn't nearly as bad as some of the others.

I was throwing daggers at the screen during The BFG this summer. Such a great book and such a disappointing movie.

The studio spent so much $ promoting it, which isn't counted in the initial film budget.

This was my favorite book when I was a little kid. This and James and the Giant Peach.

Gotcha.

Everyone I've talked to says it's hilarious, though. Will probably watch it comes to Netflix or whatever.

I saw Independence Day: Resurgence. One of the worst decisions I've ever made.

That movie was worse than dog****.

That is how I feel about Zoolander 2, I still have not forgiven my friend for taking me to it.

:lamo That's hilarious!
The more they promoted it, the more it was ridiculed.

Maybe Follywood will learn not to take an awesome franchise and turn it into an SJW-inspired dogturd like they did with Ghostbusters.

IIRC, the Ghostbusters trailer is the most disliked trailer on YouTube.

Here's NPR's on air review of Ghostbusters, where they claim that stoopid men are the only ones that dislike the movie:

Maybe that's why NPR has more employees than listeners :lamo

I've missed out on most of this years' theatrical entries. However, with sheer geek hype, I would say the DC universe films have really been killer flops. I haven't seen the films either, but neither revenue nor critical reviews have made the films worth the effort to see.

Oh yeah, Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad were not that great of movies.

I can only hope Wonder Woman and Justice League will be better, but I doubt it.

Putting a very lightly proven woman director in to do WW does not inspire confidence.

She has a lot of good support, but still, this is politics.

I saw Ghostbusters...I liked it. Not sure what all the fuss was about. Independence Day was about as bad as I figured it would be but I gavce it a shot and it didnt disappoint in how much it disappointed. Zoolander 2...man...what a turd. The first Zoolander is FAF...but the 2nd one...maybe my biggest disappointment after Suicide Squad.

Truth be told, I am already a couple years behind in the Marvel universe, and with the DC duds, I'm feeling like I can comfortably say sironara to super hero films. I have found that the television counterparts are more enjoyable, albeit still somewhat demanding.

We dont even need a top ten list....the #1 is Rules dont apply, no doubt.

just over $3 million gross in wide release, over 2,000 theaters...

This was one of the biggest Hollywood ego humiliations ever.

This was a belly flop by Hollywood royalty

He spent so many years making it.

This was painful.
