Carrie Fisher Dies at 60

Carrie Fisher, the actress best known as Star Wars‘ Princess Leia Organa, has died after suffering a heart attack. She was 60.

Family spokesman Simon Halls released a statement to PEOPLE on behalf of Fisher’s daughter, Billie Lourd:

“It is with a very deep sadness that Billie Lourd confirms that her beloved mother Carrie Fisher passed away at 8:55 this morning,” reads the statement. She was loved by the world and she will be missed profoundly,” says Lourd. “Our entire family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers.”

She's one with the Force now.

To think it might have been brought about because she shed a lot of weight in order to appear in Episode 7 makes it even more sad. RIP.

A heart attack on an international flight means a long delay in getting a person to a hospital and no doubt that played a role in her death.

**** you 2016. Don't let the doorknob hit you on the way out.

RIP Carrie

2016 was a rough year for stars. RIP Carrie Fisher.

She recently wrote about her affair with Harrison Ford during the first SW film. A line Ford had in the First Indiana Jones film comes to mind about the life Fisher led..

"its not the years, its the mileage."

Interesting that it was her talent and skill for doctoring scripts that really made her shine. She was considered as a go to person in the decade of the 90's to salvage a script that was unfilmable. She worked on
HOOK
THE WEDDING SINGER
SISTER ACT
LETHAL WEAPON 3

and supposedly had a hand in the three Star Wars prequels as well. She had not done much in the last decade as she said the movies had changed and they wanted a younger persons perspective.

Bummer, she was one of the most honest and grounded actresses out there. She didn't take crap from anyone, and was known as one of the best script fixers out there. She will be missed.
