Wife is binge watching the whole series over the holidays. I'm sitting here on the confuser, mocking the lines in a British accent every few minutes. The things we do for fun when we get on in years...

I think this is the third or fourth time she's gone through all the episodes. I almost know what's coming before they say it. A few more runs through the series and I will be able to add to the fun by mocking someone before the line is even spoken. :)

Anyway, who all here liked the show?

Loved it -- absolutely loved it.

My favorite character is the Dowager Countess. Maggie Smith nailed that role.

I like mocking her the best. :)

She did. I don't know if I could choose a favorite character. However, I haaaaaaaaaaaaated one character and wanted her to die.

lol...Mary?

Nope -- her mother. I couldn't stand the way she talked. I was rooting for her to die in every season. :p

Ah, Elizabeth McGovern's Cora. My wife hates her voice too. I do not seem to be bothered by it. But, Mary's dry, emotionless snide drives me crazy.

I also got sick of Bates. Perfect Mr Bates and wife Anna definitely got on my nerves by the third season. Who the hell calls their husband "Mr Bates"?

The exact opposite happened with Lord Grantham. He was such a turd in the beginning, but he kind of grew on me over time. In the end, he became an old softy.

I watched it before during the times I had nothing to do. Well produced but somewhat light British period drama- typical UK fare.

I hadn't even realized that they already released season 2 of the Man in the High Castle, I'm going to binge watch that one right now.

I was hooked first, then I got Yes Ma'am hooked. We only watched it once though. We both loved it.

Totally liked it. I wish our language was as rich as the Kings English was.

Watching Michelle Dockery in Good Behavior is quite an adjustment! :3oops:
