I like SAD Christmas song. And if you think that is sad - this is the most pitifully sad Christmas song ever. And that is the admission of the writer and singer"

Geez, is that a sad Christmas song!

But I think it was definitely appropriate material for the guy that gave us this:

I specifically picked the clip with Springsteen on stage, because in his autobiography he claims as a kid he was laying in bed in Jersey one night in the dark late at night, listening to A.M. radio. Roy Orbison came on singing 'crying', and when he heard those long plaintiff crescendo notes near the end, he decided right there he wanted to be a musician like Roy Orbison!

He later set his sights on playing like Duane Eddy, singing like Roy Orbison, writing like Dylan, and producing like Phil Spectre! He set his sights pretty high!

But dayem, Roy Orbinson has the voice. No doubt. Absolutely beautiful.

I can't stand Christmas music. However, this is an exception:

That is a great and historic clip. Thanks for it. Glad you liked it.

And I think Bruce exceeded those folks ... well, maybe not Phil Spector as a producer but his own wall of sound is damn good.
