Merry Christmas Songs

PRETTY PAPER sung by Roy Orbison and written by Willie Nelson. Best Christmas song ever.

That Elvis and Chuck Berry is great!

But John Lennon don't work for you? Hell, I put this right up there with Imagine in terms of good vibes!

It's my all time favorite! I forgot all about it. Thanks, man.

Peace to all.

Nice one.

Les Paul's many and varied contributions to music, musical instruments, recording, and the recording industry in general, literally put him in a class of one!

And you really contribute some classic & seminal recordings around here, LutherF. I saw that from day one.

Its not Christmas without Bob and Doug McKenzie

Good afternoon, TD. Good work on starting the thread.

Despite all the iconic worship of Enrico Caruso, you are right in that our generation may indeed have heard and seen the best tenor known to modern man in Luciano Pavorroti.
Here's how it was done back then:

Caruso 2000 reintroduced him to the world...but digital recordings take away some of the character of vinyl. Caruso was nice. Pavarotti...is just...the man. There may be someone better in the future...but to date...Its Luciano and then everyone else. IMO

One of my guilty pleasures that I rarely tell anyone about for reasons that will be very clear is a Christmas song that I loved the first time I heard it and still do to this day.
