The Frankenstein Chronicles (TV Series 2015– ) - IMDb

Has anybody seen this? I stumbled onto it by accident. It stars Sean Bean (Ned Stark from GoT) an actor whose characters have been killed more times than any other I think lol. It starts out as a murder-mystery set in early 19th Century England but as I watched the final episode... it went from a period crime thriller to... completely nuts.

Sean gets killed again (surprise) but is suddenly resurrected as a Frankenstein monster! Wow, I didnt see that coming. :lamo

It's been renewed for season 2 so I am totally interested at what comes next.

If it is as good as PENNY DREADFUL - I am there.

I like nuts as a finale grande.

This show is a slow burn procedural compared to PD (Which I hated btw) but it grows on you and is worth watching, I think.

Oh, if you like twist endings, you'll love the last 20 minutes of the final episode- I was completely floored. I normally find movies and TV predictable these days but this one was totally unexpected. :2razz:

There is a term I like to use - EYE CANDY - top describe horror or sci-fi or fantasy stuff that is simply visually astounding even though other aspects like story or plot or characterization may be less than excellent. PENNY D had that in truckloads and that was one reason I enjoyed it so much.

Thank for the recommendation about FRANKENSTEIN - I will watch for it and give a chance based on your two cents.

Sean Bean did live to the end of The Martian,...

...but he did get fired.

I think the only two times that Sean Bean played a character who didnt die was in the Martian (I was actually waiting for him to die in that movie, to be honest lol) and his TV show Sharpe. ;)

So his characters either end up dead or out of a job. I dont know which is worse lol
