Just watched it, and though I've never played WOW I enjoyed the movie quite a lot anyway. I'm sure there were game references I didn't get and some early aspects were a little confusing, but on the whole the plot, acting, CGI and general production values were considerably higher than I was expecting.
The same fellow that plays Ragnar Lothbrook on Vikings played a starring role, and did so with the style and personality we'd expect: quite well that is.
Enjoyed the visual displays of magic in action particularly.
It isn't LOTR, but I wasn't expecting it to be.
Certainly it was entertaining, if you like epic fantasy of the swords-and-sorcery variety, and I do.
One thing that was a bit of a "blip" for me was the Orcs themselves. As a lifelong Tolkien fan and someone who grew up with classic D&D, these "Orcs" seem more like Ogres to me. They're huge, perhaps 7-9' tall and look like they'd weigh 500-1200 pounds each, and are strong enough to throw horses around. The tusks and fangs on some were a smidge ridiculous, too, as in "how do you EAT with that mouth?"
But leaving that aside I enjoyed the movie quite a bit.
