What Was The Last Movie You Watched and Rate it!

The last one I saw in theaters was Harry Potter 7 part 2. In 3d and I thought it was a very good movie 9/10 and I went to see it 2 times.

This sounds like a rip-off of Logan's Run.

I made that connection too, but the only similarity is that some people have to die young, but since the currency in this movie is time, they have a chance of working to earn enough to live. With that being the case, class envy is definitely a problem, since in this movie some have LOTS of time and others barely any.

I watched "The Bible -- Jesus" on DVD. There are many movies about Jesus, this one was an American-European co-production for TV, I believe. Jeremy Sisto plays Jesus and Gary Oldman Pontius Pilate. Not bad, but I had the impression they made up a bit too much of the story. I'd give it 6 out of 10 points.

American Reunion- (6.5/10) not nearly as great as others in the series as it suffers from the effect of diminishing returns, still, an enjoyable watch for fans of the series and has its nostalgic moments.

Watched Full Metal Jacket last night. Seen it before just was in the mood to watch it. I give it a 8 out of 10 stars...

God Bless America (Dir. Bobcat Goldthwait) came out on itunes, Amazon instant and some OnDemand for 9.99 and it will not be in theaters until May. 8/10. After watching the trailer I heard several people say it looked like Natural Born Killers, but I think it is much smarter.

Immortals 2011

Apparently you can't teach an old dog new tricks like this director from 300.

It's a loosley based story about the Titans vs. Zeus in 1300 BC and throwing virgins into a Brazen Bull that was invented 1,000 years later.

I'm no expert on Greek Mythology but I do know the real mythology is lamer and stranger than this pedestrian story: A peasant rises to immortal status while fighting a king that was a peasant too, go figure. All of the nobility and officer classes are buffoons, cowards, and traitors but the peons are the real heroes. You know this incessant proproletarian propaganda gets old even for us peons.

Footloose (remake), 5/10, bearable, but was a remake necessary for a film with such a weak premise?

Another Earth 8/10

This post was made from my phone.please excuse spelling mistakes

Just saw Titanic in the theater in 3D. Know I'm setting myself up for ridicule here, because it's cool to bash on the movie, but I've always been a big fan, and was unable to see it when it first came out in theaters.

Loved seeing it today, and it was pretty cool in 3D. Honestly, 3D doesn't fluff my skirt up that much, but I was willing to watch it in 3D just to be able to see it in the theaters. I will say that the 3D wasn't as bad as I thought it was. There were certain parts that stood out, like alot, in the 3D - the debris floating in the water, the gears in the engine room on the ship.

Anyway, if you love the movie, it's definitely worth a watch.

My son and I just watched Hunger Games last night at the theater, and discussed it afterwards.

On the whole I have to agree on the 7 of 10 rating you give. I was surprised and disappointed at the PG13 rating; seems to me the point of the thing was to emphasize the horror of the Games and how the society had grown accustomed and hardened to it, and the antiseptic cut-away death scenes totally blew that aspect of it. The blurred and shaky-cam sequences made it hard to tell what was going on during some combat sequences which was a bit of a downer also.

Even so, it was good. Pretty good acting, scenery, dialog, and so forth. The ending was slightly abrupt but it was already a long movie I can see why.

Enjoyed it quite a lot overall, despite the above-mentioned flaws.

I agree about the PG-13 rating, I think it would have been better as an R rated movie. It was a very good movie over all though. It was one of those movies I didn't want to end. When we were driving home from watching it, my son told me every difference there was between movie and the book.

Via Netflix.... Saints and Sinners .

Pretty good WWII flick.

4 out of 5 stars.

legends of the fall. saw it when i was 20; it has stood the test of time fairly well. 7/10.

I'm pretty sure the last movie I saw was 50/50, which gets an 8/10. Great performances all around, solid script, and well-directed.

The Cabin in The Woods- (8/10), great spoof/homage to the horror genre with a pretty interesting premise.

Seven Days In Utopia....5 out of 5 stars.

I went to see the Hunger Games because it was hyped as being the best thing since sliced bread. I found it boring. We saw a half dozen or so previews, none of which I'd pay to see.

Memorable movies of the past include:

Fatal Attraction
Deliverance
Giant
the Family Vacation series

not too many more. There are a lot of forgettable movies being made.

Via Netflix...The Murder of Crows.

4 out of 5.

Ghost Protocol . 4 out of 5.

Going to re-watch today to tie up some loose ends.

ARiver Runs Through It....5 out of 5.

Watched Crimson Tide on youtube last night, halfway through clicked this link.

Couldn't finish watching it.

I saw the Avengers today. It is an amazing movie. Loved it. I feel like seeing it again.
