US Casualties in the Iraq War:

Barring any catastrophe in the last 6 days in March, this will be the 5th month in a row since October in which casualties decreased. In addition, this will have been the month with the fewest casualties since February 2004. This comes in the midst of continually shifting power to the Iraqi national forces.

Seems like we're doing a pretty decent job of shifting the burden more and more to the Iraqi forces.

That is great news my friend........Puzzling why we have not heard anything from the so called fair and balanced media on this.....

As long as we dont destroy babylon and places of great historical and cultural significance, I have no problem with the US staying there as advisory council.

My idea is about as smart as yours.

edit: I'm not saying we should never leave, but that we shouldn't bail immediately.

Well, considering that the only purpose of the US military is to foster imperialism, slaughter innocent women and children, and torture innocent imprisoned civilians, I can't say they're wrong.

We lost the stomach for the war in Viet Nam thanks to our left wing friends here in the U.S and cut and run and 58,000 Americans (6 good friends of mine) and millions of Cambodians and Vietnamese died for nothing........

We must never make that mistake again......Say what you want about President Bush but I don't think he will let it happen as long as he is prez.....

We would have never won Vietnam. China would have done the same thing that they did to us in Korea.

Are you aware of how Vietnam was fought? The "soldiers" weren't given a sportsman chance in hell thanks to our politicians debating whether or not to be involved in the war for almost a decade.

But can't we take it as it comes and admit it is GOOD news and the kind of news we want and that it shows the progress being made in the strategy we are engaged in?
I said it is an improvement. But still, more soldiers died this quarter than the first quarter of 2004.
