Ok, now this is kind of an old story, but oh man, if you didn’t hear about this, over a year back “The Verge” put out a video where this moron tries to instruct people on how to build a Relatively high end gaming PC.

I was recently reminded of it when I came across this super cut of a bunch of techies reacting to this and I gotta say, yes it’s 20 minutes, but it’s well, well worth your time if you’ve ever built a PC and have an interest in this stuff, this, this is gold.

By far my favourite bit is the When he installs the power supply, I **** a brick.

Pretty sure the guy is trolling.

I am a long ways from being computer tech smart.....why are gaming computers so expensive?

*edit: Holy Sh*t.....I just googled game computers and PC games popped up; how in the hell does a game ( World of Warcraft collector edition) cost over $4000??

Pretty sure the guy is trolling.

Not even.

Apparently when they were called on the video they disabled like/dislikes and comments and then tried to DMCA some of the reaction videos and the guy took to twitter to brag his PC was better than the people criticizing him.

It’s actually quite a bizarre story.

Oh, im sure the producers pulled it with big brand behind the funding. But the actor was clearly trolling the video but probably impossible to prove. One of those deadpan trolls who probably hates his boss.

Why is there no flux capacitor?

I have no clue about building computers but when he suggested "Swiss Army Knife" it was over for me.

You need tweezers, as he puts out zip ties. This is hilarious and I am only 2 minutes in.

Edit: "He not fighting static, he fighting cancer!"

What I learned from that video is Bitwit is awesome, and you should never teach yourself how to do something while making a video explaining how to do that very thing.

I haven't seen that whole video, so it is kind of funny that I just got an inside joke from a recent Linus Tech Tips while watching this.

He was building .. a Hackintosh, I think? And he said "first you need .. a table".

Hahahaha!! That was hilarious!

Man you don't even need to have ever built a PC to understand how some of that is completely idiotic.

Hey I've used allen wrenches a whole bunch of times in PC building. Lots of radiator screws use them, for whatever dumb ass reason.

I'm changing up one of my Cons for Borderlands. It turns out that there are just a lot of minor boss fights in the game, but all the major bosses I have encountered have a convenient portal and vending machines outside their arena for easy farming.

Wrong thread?

And yet you still made more sense than the Verges video on how to build a PC!

And I didn't even start with a table!

I didnt bother to watch after a few mins. I built a high end PC at the beginning of 2017 for around $2k and its as good or better then the one he built

Well, if it worked at all it was better than the one he built.
