Think I'll wait for my new 4k TV and a PS5 to play it.
 
Completely uninterested because of the changes to the core of the way the game plays. As soon as the FF games stopped being turn-based, they went to ****.

That said, it's pretty.

also, they nerfed Tifa, so ****'em.

Nerfed Tifa how?

And I worry about the gameplay changes, but will still have to have this, and will decide for sure then whether I like them or not.

smaller boobs, doubled up on her shirt so no jiggle jiggle, and changed her skirt to be more casual instead of sexy.

The outfit changes are extremely small. She still has a large chest. Not at all worth even a tiny bit of concern.

I disagree, but like I said, that's a minor complaint compared to the gameplay.
 
I'm skeptical about paying 60 dollars for a quarter of a game whose story I've played through a dozen times already.

Well she is a brawler, having the weighted ps1 style boobs can make that a difficulty. If i wanted jiggle jiggle theres plenty of games that offer that lol.
 
I think considering the fans were screaming at the hilltops for this, its good Square is finally doing it, though Square is partially at fault for being a damn teaser about it for so long.
 
Release date moved back to April 10. :(
 
This and 2019 have been a few really good years for remakes :D

Got the deluxe edition pre-ordered, because that is how I roll. Now I just have to hope the combat does not suck(and I have real concerns about that).

First impressions before I head out:

Combat sucks. On normal, it is just move and slash until you get limit breaks. Really meh. On easy and classic, you basically just watch the fight. Not game breaking bad, but not good.

Graphics are really good, but with HD graphics making it kinda strange at time. Where Barret's gun attaches to his arm looks weird. Plus he looks like he just came from the tattoo parlor, with the tattoos being bright colored and shiny like he literally just walked out with them(yes, that is nit picky). Maps are somewhat different I think, but the Mako reactor(apparently it is pronounced "mah-ko", not "may-ko" as I always thought) looks right, just higher definition.

Voice acting for the American version is terrible, but at least Barrett does not speak all out ebonics like in the original. I really hope the full version lets you hear the original Japanese voices with American subtitles.

Overall, it has its problems, but is still going to be worth it.
 
Finally got time to really play around with the demo. Demo covers about 45 minutes of the game. Graphics are insanely good at points, and really good everywhere. Combat is not very good, but not very bad either. I will be interesting to see how it works with a party of 3. They include Staggers, ATB gauges, limit breaks, switching between characters, battle modes, and none of it works real well together. Where the game really shines is the storytelling. Even though the demo covers just a quick introduction to what is going on, it does a great job of making you interested in the characters and the world.
 
Amazon shipped my copy late, but says it will be here this afternoon.

Edit: Oh FFS they drove right by my house because the route has them go around the black and catch my house coming our of the neighborhood. 3 stops to go, and it is taking forever!

Edit2: 40 gigs of file transfer from the data disk. So slow. I suspect patch after that...
