In a recent earnings call, Disney CEO Bob Iger replied to questions about the company's relationship with EA by saying that the deal works well for both parties. "We've had good relationships with some of those we're licensing to, notably EA and the relationship on the Star Wars properties, and we're probably going to stay on that side of the business and put our capital elsewhere," Iger said. "We're good at making movies and television shows and theme parks and cruise ships and the like, we've just never managed to demonstrate much skill on the publishing side of games." Welp, at least Disney is happy. Because, uh, no one else is.

Whether it’s how they allowed what happened with the Last Jedi and the consequent financial relative failure of Solo, they just don’t seem to get it.

They have a license to print money that they are squandering, mishandling and hyperdriving straight into a Sarlaac pit and not even for the sake of profit do they seem to realize that they’re doing it.

Disney is a company out to make money, I am not so naive that I don’t realize that they do what they do purely for the art of making entertainment products... But without goodwill from fans, how do you expect to continue to milk a lucrative franchise?

Disney can do better, we know they can... So why does it seem they’re almost purposefully not doing so?

All on their own, EA has trashed a few game series and burned a few bridges in the process.

Can't wait to see what Disney does with them!
