Diablo immortal

It wasn't so much the announcement of Diablo Immortal that tanked the stock so much that people are pissed that at this point they should've been announcing Diablo 4 and while this game should've been reveled in a smaller venue. I'm still going to get the game on my phone and check it out. I've been waiting for a good hack 'n slash mobile.

They announced it like it was a main attraction, the wiz kids should have known the reaction, and the whole don't you people have phones comment really made blizzard sound like the were completely ignoring their own fan base.

People seem rather certain that they are working on or intending to work on Diablo 4. Have they said so ever?

They have not officially confirmed Diablo 4.

A couple of "We are working on Multiple Diablo Projects" has been put out there, but that's as far as it's gone.

I don't really know what to make of that.

Doubt we will see Diablo 4 before 2021 if at all. It is a dying brand.

Problem for Blizzard is that they are loosing out on a lot of money on mobile and consoles. Their major titles mostly don't transfer well or at all.

This is clearly an attempt to get part of the mobile pie, but Blizzard has no experience in the mobile arena and in my opinion they are doomed to fail.

Not 100% true, you’ve forgotten about Hearthstone, that’s on Android/iOS.

And putting together a mobile game ain’t exactly rocket science, if any of their IP’s from a gameplay perspective could work on mobile, as comparatively ****ty as it may be to its brethren, it’s Diablo, but I think part of what you say is right given that they partnered with a Chinese company that specialized in cheap Diablo ripoffs.

Pft, you call that a game?

Nope it is not.. but putting a mobile game that works and has longevity is hard as hell.

Nope. Supposedly, they don't want a repeat of the wow-successor they cancelled after announcing.

Latest rumor, supposedly from 11 anon blizzard devs, is that d4 was rebooted in 2016. They were developing it as a Dark Souls, over-the-shoulder 3rd person type game. And then they changed it in 2016 to be a very dark d2 type game. They said it won't be out before 2020.
