Also picked up the Homeworld Remastered collection, mostly because I loved the original and it was like 6 or 7 bucks.
HW!!! The narrator, the mood they set, it's amazing.

    FYI,

If you got it via Steam...good luck. I heard the people connecting via steam had (and maybe have) a major headache trying to log in after patches, so I ended up getting it straight from Zenimax. ie, from the last 18 months,

What are actually the problems with eso on steam? :: The Elder Scrolls Online English

Steam's insanely stupid issues with ESO — Elder Scrolls Online

Fix Steam PC/EU Issues — Elder Scrolls Online

Update on Steam Login Issues — Elder Scrolls Online

How to purchase access to the regular launcher/ESO64.exe (for Steam users) — Elder Scrolls Online

    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.co...-not-launching

Though, even getting it via Zenimax directly can have issues, at least for Macs. Pretty much every patch, I'll log in and spin uncontrollably. I have to log out, go to Security & Privacy, over to Accessibility, unlock the settings, remove "eso", "setup", and "Zenimax Online Studious Launcher", lock the settings, unlock the settings, add them back in, lock settings, start the launcher but not launch the game from it. Instead, I launch the game from "Eso" directly, but with the launcher open.

This usually works and I can play. But sometimes the wild spinning still occurs and I have to once more go into those settings and remove "setup" only, then do start up the game.

It works, but don't ask me why.

Also, did you hear? Microsoft is making a new Flight Simulator!!!!!

I am a huge FS fan, my pilot friends used to ask me how to do things on it (after they returned from a 6 hour flight in the right seat of an Airbus A320).

    Looky:

Hah. I played some version in the mid 90s. I don't think I ever managed to land properly.

From about the 1:00 point. Some of the best voice acting in games, just chilling.

Decided to finally pick up Steins;Gate. Damn it is good. Possibly the best visual novel of all time.

    Re: Steam Summer Sale

I know it isn't everyone's cup of tea, but WH40K Inquisitor in on half price sale in the Steam Summer sale for $25. It also just underwent a huge overhaul with lots of new endgame stuff.

Obviously with 300+ hours in the game I think it's worth it.

    Is it grindy? Yeh

Is it repetitive? Well.. yeah... like any ARPG

But it's different enough than the average ARPG that, if you like ARPGs, it's worth giving a go.

Also, if you choose to buy it, I think it is safe to avoid all of the DLC side missions. Most are just simple side quests that add flavor with little pay out.. I would suggest spending $1.50 on the Maelstrom of Carnage DLC, however, since it's just a nice tool for starter gear grinding in late game.

I got Civilization VI and Rise and Fall, might buy the Gathering Storm add-on.

My partner just moved in a few weeks back. Now she has seen first hand the madness of the "one more round" type of games. Civ VI is pretty daunting, I've had every version before. Its very hard to win at a higher level, I need to do more spying and diplomacy...

I'm not sure what it is about CIV IV, but I have owned it since it came out and have put maybe 20 hours into the game, if that. Something about it just seems off, and I have given it like 10 chances to pull me in, but it just doesn't.

I learned a lot, I used it frequently when I worked for the airlines, I even did some advanced classes on it for real pilots. I still have a yoke that works well, but no pedals. I went in and repurchased the old one which now has a version on Steam, so it gets updates. Only thing I don't like about this new one coming up is that it is a subscriber model..grrr

I started ESO when it first came out, but it didnít really grab me. Started up again a few months ago and love it.
