NSFW TRAILERS POSSIBLE!

I mean damn, this is intriguing as hell so cannot wait to play this game.

One of my favorite games, The Last of Us was an amazing experience, this really looks to up the ante on the series.

IF they can pull this off...

One of my favorite series, I played DW1 for DAYS back when it launched, I am eager for this latest installment.

I am excited for the Last of Us 2. Gameplay looks really smooth, but some of it looked kinda scripted. But it's really pretty. I liked the cut-scene, but it did feel a bit like uncanny valley to me. But overall, I thought Sony's E3 was pretty boring. Resident Evil 2 remake looks scary. Death Stranding hurts my brain, because I have absolutely no idea what the **** is going on. Looks pretty good, though. I think Microsoft takes first place for me so far, then Bethesda. I am however, still weary about Fallout 76. Ubisoft was alright, I liked the first few games they showed. I could care less about The Division 2, though. EA was the worst. And their Anthem presentation did nothing to sell me on the game whatsoever. It just looks nice. And overall, they had little to nothing to show. They spent more time on some ****ty mobile game, than on any of their big features. And like every year, their Madden/FIFA stuff is more boring than gazing at a rock.

I'll pop in and out of Nintendo's E3 today.

I agree with most of that, I used to love the madden series, but it's just a glorified cash grab now, so not interested. Fallout 76 was so... meh. "Online only, every human PC is actually another player..." yes, please grief me kids!

It's funny.

I never know what I will like until I get to try it.

I don't like sword and sorcery games. Never bought one before Skyrim, which became my favorite game.

I buy about 10 before I find one I will actually play.

Don't do that. Sign up gamefly, test, and buy the good ones. Save monies

Mainers can be strange I guess...

I have all three consoles and a kickin gaming PC.

I didn't grow up playing on consoles. I also know that if you could clone a guy, the guy on the keyboard would stomp his twin with the console into the dust 9 time out of 10.

I like to keep the tv and gaming separate, that's a family thing. The wife watches the tube after dinner while I use the PC.

Also, doing VR right (which has yet to happen) is going to take tons of power. Consoles, unless they increase the price a lot so they can put in hot hardware, is always going to be a distant second place in VR.

I can understand that. I had the first Atari 2600 on my block, so I grew up console gaming. Some games are better played IMHO on a console, some games better on PC.
My current rig can handle VR, my wallet cannot.

I think I'll invest in a PS4 Pro with a VR headset though, those seem to be a pretty good.'

Please tell me you aren't a Moxie Cola drinker though, I'd.. be sad for you.

Can't stand the stuff. But Moxie ice cream isn't bad. I know, it's sounds like it should herald the apocalypse, but all the cream and sugar chills it out, so to speak.

I used to do long rides on my bicycle, the small, high quality brands of soda were nice on a hot summer day, but I'm not big on soda.

This is what I am waiting for: twin 2560x1440 panels, comes wireless, individually adjustable eyepieces (one is worse than the other), and a price that isn't over $600. I think that will be available in a couple years, for about a grand, give or take a couple hundred (definitely take).

But the real problem is the software. The cost of developing VR games may keep it as a niche product. That's not acceptable, I want Skyrim on steroids, nothing less will do.

Okay, we're good then on that front. When I got stationed in Brunswick, the first thing they did was hand me a cold orange Moxie. That began my hate for the state of Maine (actually I loked a lot of Maine but damn that was tough)

I figure by 2025 we'll see VR taking off hardcore.

Moxie is super old school, we're talking a century ago when a lot of people thought that bad taste meant it was good for you.

My favorite place in Maine is Baxter State Park. You have to backpack to appreciate what it has to offer, but we used to do it every year. Acadia is also nice, but try and catch it early or late in the season, when it isn't mobbed.

So, you were a swabbie.

I worry you are right about 2025, I will not be around that long.

I'm a PC gamer primarily, but today's Nintendo Switch announcements were awesome. Cant wait for Smash Bros Ultimate, heck I cant wait to get home and install Fortnite and Paladins for free. Also the way they paired two Switches for Mario Party was dope.

Everything on the PC I care about, like Elder Scrolls 6, wont even be out by the next E3.

Yes I was, 10 years US Navy. Been to Baxter, got inlaws up in Sabattus and I do miss going to the lobster docks for fresh food.

I hope your belief on your life expectancy is off be several years, to the positive.

Have you been to Russell Pond or Little Wassatoqouik? That's the middle of the park, and the best part.

Grand Theft Horse II is gonna be amazing. I'm hoping the online play is just as good as GTAV's is.

I'm still waiting for real competition to Madden. The licensing lock out by the NFL was just awful for NFL games.

Agreed, it's been a disaster for real fans, but Madden makes the dough so..

Well sure, you create a monopoly and the monopoly makes all the money.

Ones that interested me:

Assassins Creed Odyssey - Love Ancient Greece, studied it a lot so its great they're taking the series there, one of my favorite youtubers did say there was something that worried him a little bit when it came to the gameplay and something specifically about how you deal with enemies with shields and how many there were that made it kind of a drag... But I'll wait for reviews.

Battletoads - Well... We'll have to see what that's all about.

Cyberpunk 2077 - One of my favorite youtubers got to see a 45 minute behind closed doors demo of the game... His reaction tells me all I need to know, he says if what he saw is what the game will deliver, there's no contest it's one of the most amazing things he's ever seen.

Starfield + Elder Scrolls VI - A new Bethesda IP and a new entry in one of the greatest series of all time....

Ghosts of Tsushima - picked a very interesting time in history, but no PS4 so probably never get to play this one :(

Halo Infinite - Been there since Halo: CE... We'll see what this is all about.

Kingdom Hearts 3 - Do I really need to say much about this?

Pokemon: Lets Go Pikachu - Yeah I'll probably be getting this.

Spiderman - Another one that looks amazing but no PS4 so no play :(

Spyro Reignited Trilogy
- Do I even have to explain why?

Super Meat Boy Forever - Loved the first, wait for the reviews but I'll probably be getting this not that I'll EVER complete it.

Games that concern me:

Anthem - I love Bioware and the Mass Effect series is something I hold dear, I have a really bad feeling about this game I mean even the developers in the entire way they presented this game seem not entirely on board with what's going on here, I think there's a chance it might be a solid game but I really don't know what they're going to deliver, I have a feeling that the delay in release was purely because the Javelin Parts and Upgrades were all inside loot boxes so they had to rework the entire progression system after the Battlefront II debacle.

Battlefield V - I love me some Battlefield... But I wasn't particularly impressed with gameplay I've seen... I hope it'll be good and I'm glad they've gone with no season pass or loot boxes... I think an upfront transaction for cosmetics is more than a fair compromise so everyone gets paid but we'll see how far they actually take that because I could still see them doing something stupid with it.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 - Yeah I'm finished, fini, done, with this series and I really hope to god this one sells so badly it tanks the franchise for awhile, at this moment a **** storm is about to take place over their season pass decision and I hope Activision eat some serious **** for their insanely greedy and short sighted decisions with this one.

Fallout 76 - I just don't see how I'm going to like this game, I have never felt that I needed to play any Bethesda game multiplayer style, it just never occurred to me, I know some people might enjoy it I'm sure but I'm not likely to be one of them, this is something I may impulse buy on special one day but that'll be down the road a bit.

Just Cause 4 - Really enjoyed 3... But personally I'm a little befuddled by one of the main selling points being "weather effects". So... if I'm in the middle of a mission and a ****ing tornado comes through I don't see a situation in which I'm going to think that's a good thing.
