I got a laptop in mint condition recently cheap at a pawn shop, it is outdated but good for what I need it for as a work computer. I wiped out windows and installed linux as much of what I need it for is web browsing and the shops other computers are constantly getting viruses, even from automotive forums.

I however besides pdf repair manuals and access to technichal sites have wondered what else can linux do, like inventory software, customer repair order apps, or any such that can make my job easier, I do much of that now with the linux versions of notepad as well as notepad on windows. With linux having free software if any of yall have info on apps that can make my job easier please point me to them. Btw I am using solus linux which is a little more limited on apps than ubuntu.
