I used to use the Android platform years ago. I now am ate up with APPLE/IOS. There were two Android games the occupied my spare time. One was an artillery simulator, there was a time limit for adjusting elevation and size of charge for distance and obstacles to fire over or through. The other was a much better rendition of the old ATARI River Raid. Your plane flies up a river and there are bridges, enemy boats, ground installations and other aircraft to deal with. I have looked art the APP Store and have not come up with anything close. APPLE is very restrictive as to whom they will let write to their platform. Anything ring a bell? My interest in games go to simple/historical, not much for science fiction or blood and gore, that's for you young bucks!

I used to use only Apple, until my last one caught on fire from a defective battery.

The insurance covered it, but I decided to go to another product and I've been using the Motorola for the last few years mostly.

Though I have had my own issues with android in the past as well. Limited storage space and no root access to an auxiliary memory.

I have been locked in on only a few time wasters for the time being. Things that I can log on and be done with my task within 3 minutes or so. Fallout Shelter and Shop Hero's are the current flavor.

The last android/IOS game that ate a lot of time for me is C.A.T.S. ... not really historical, but it is fairly simple and pretty fun.

Probably my favorite game for phone/tablet though is Fallout Shelter... but that is Sci-Fi.

I got nothin'.

OH!! But you can also get Civilization VI for IOS now, so you might like that... though it isn't "simple" per se.
