Yes, that's definitely a beast of a machine (with the price tag to match, I'm sure). In fact, I'd say you'd probably have parts fail before that computer becomes obsolete.

    Re: Rediscovering games through mods

So it turns out that the answer to my modding question was in front of me all along.

For some odd reason the Twitch Modding tool (formerly Curse) has a default feature that locks any modpack you install, making it impossible to add mods to a modpack build the old fashioned way. I have been trying to build on to good modpacks for a while using various Modpacks on Twitch as the base, and they never showed any of the mods that I installed. Now I know why!

Now that I know what was happening it is super easy to build custom modpacks. All you need to do is go in to the profile options for the installed modpack in Twitch, unlock it, and you can then search Twitch mod database for compatible mods to add.

So that brings up a new question: If you were building your ideal modpack, what base modpack would you use, and what would you add?

My initial though was to build based off of Horizon III (if just because I like their hybrid biome that combines "Lost Cities" and "Biomes o' Plenty").

The only problem is that Horizons III is at 1.12, and a lot of the mods I want to use right now are still at 1.10.

I have decided to build from FTB Beyond 1.10, and add Genetics Reborn, Abilities, Lost Cities, Weapon Crates and Roguelike Dungeon mods.

I'd like to add Twilight Forrest mod as well, but I don't think that one has been updated in a while, and was dropped from the FTB base pack a while ago.
