The Necromancer has been released in Diablo 3.

Shocked the hell out of me because I had been reading that he wasn't coming out until this fall.

I just kissed my wife goodbye for a while.

Now if only they rerelease the Druid to Daiblo 3 from Daiblo 2.

That game any good on console? I'm not gonna lie,mDiablo 2 online stole roughly 2 years of my life, it was so awesome. TOO awesome. My hammerdin owned all!

No it's pretty awful on console, no seasons and you can't play multiplayer because of the hackers

Now if they could only make the game good like Diablo 2 it might be worth coming back to.

Console version is not as good, I mean it has trading which they all but stripped from the pc version, but hacks are so bad you can enter a game and someone there using hacks could level you to max level in minutes with you having no say so in the matter.

If you loved diablo 2 I would just spend a little and buy diablo 2 and replay it some, the comunity is very much down, but for as cheap as it is from blizzard you can get some hours in before you leave it again. Diablo 3 is a far cry from diablo 2, and I doubt blizzard will change that, so yeah don't get 3 and expect 2, ain't gonna happen.

If you have even a half decent computer, you should be able to run Diablo 3. The console version is only really fun if you have someone to play with you on the same console. Like others have stated, the online sucks, and many of the features are simply not there on the console. I don't think its that good of a game to begin with on the PC either. Its really nothing like Diablo 2 other than the name and the general action rpg style.

My stepson plays it on xb one and loves it. I do it on PC and love it.

My stepson plays with others on his xbox all the time with no problems.

If you play with friends its ok, but like beerftw said a hacker can join a game if you make it public and get you to paragon level 1000 in less than a minute

Diablo 3 is very different feel than diablo 2 but I got into it after a bit and now It's awesome IMO. They put in an easter egg here recently where you get to take your character back to Daiblo 1 and run around playing in that environment including the crappy resolution... same old music and background. And you are doing this with daiblo 3 characters. It was really cool throwback for their 20th anniversary of diablo.

I might have to go back and play it a bit then, the game seems to flow a lot better on ps4 than on computer

Ya, I got pretty addicted there for a while...never tried it on the computer, so no point of comparison, but I know it got my attention... Had to put it down, though, got repetitive...but not for a long time.

Did you see the news that they're hiring a Game Director for the Diablo franchise, suggesting a new title in the works?

Cool. I hope. I just dont' want it to turn into WoW part deux. I want to be able to solo like i am now without it turning into a life-sucker like WoW.

From what I recall in the past, the whole of the diablo designers did a walk out on blizzard right after diablo 2 which is why it took so long to release diablo 3.

Yeah, I think they branched off and created Torchlight

I think yall are having a bout of nostalgitis. D2 has a much better story and a much better 1st time play through but everything after that was awful compared to D3. All the hacked/duped items in vanilla then getting even worse in the expansion, needing tons of MF to find anything at all, the whole charm system, then their "brilliant" idea to get the duped SOJs out of the game was to reward the hackers buy allowing them to turn them in and get elite rewards.

D3 had its problems but the way the game plays now is much better than D2 ever was.

Heh.

I just wish they'd planned on launching a new season within a few days of the release. I've already got a feel for the class, but one misses out the enjoyment of rapid improvement one gets in a season if, like me, you have a ton of stuff in your NS chars. I went really gung ho about a year ago and got a DH to GR70 solo (which I understand is not much these days). The end result is that when I started my Necro, I was 810 paragon already.

Add on top all the spare items, high-level leg gems, piles of gems/gold, tons of stuff in the cube, tons of mats, etc., I pretty much hit 70 and hopped right into T6 without even having a class set, no problem.

I do seasons but I pretty much only play hardcore characters anymore. Got my hardcore Necro up to 70 yesterday and finished the quests. Now going in adventure mode and trying to gear up. Like you fortunuately, right now my hardcore characters are at 601 paragon so that made leveling up my hardcore necro pretty easy.

D2 had it's problems as does d3, I liked it better when it had inferno as the highest difficulty and loot 2.0, it seemed at the point then with polishing it could carry the greatness of d2 while still being diferrent from it, I stopped playing it when rifts and grifts became a thing and it turned into a wow style gear check and grind.

I personally do not like it, but my post was not to badmouth d3, some people love it, my post was to point out that it was far different from d2, and someone buying d3 expecting d2 was in for some dissapointment.

At least they added something to do in D3 at the end of the game, D2 became a joke after the expansion you could get to lvl 99 in a day and be fully geared to the max within a week.

I can never do hardcore all it takes is one time for your net to reset or your power to go out and bam its over

The end game in d2 was finding gear to be the most badass pker around. And no you could not be fully geared in a week unless you had really deep pockets. Some gear was so darn impossible to find it was unreal, like for example an etheral death cleaver, I had played the game on and off forever and after probably over a 1000 hours of mf, I finally found one. It was such a rare drop without botting That I used it on my bvc even though grief and ebotd were around long before I found it.

Various times before quitting and restarting I had items like amulets and rings that near matched the mass duped junk floating around, which some players spent years trying to find. Also to note the trading was there in d2, I wish it was in d3, I ended up trading to get a permed pair of imp shenks not too long before the mass ban, when I quit the game again just before joining the army I gave it to my brother and I do not know what he did with it, but it was one of the last permed ones in us west.

In d3 My account has been inactive but I still have some legacy items like skorn back when that thing was actually worth something and that stupid rainbow sword that made mid lvl grinding a breeze.

It's happened to me for sure. More than once. I usually get so disgusted that I don't game for a couple months or so. Which is probably for the best anyways.

But it usually is from being careless that I lose my character. I like it because it changes the way you game and you take your builds more seriously rather than haphazardly

I lost one the other day.

Forgot I was on one of my hardcores and took some extra risks. Splat.
