Anyone play? Pretty good? Ok? Great? Just wondering who plays. I have it on PS4 and I'm pretty good at it. I enjoy ground attack, but I also love realistic tank battles.

I used to. I now only play World of Tanks, World of Planes, and World of Ships on PC.

Any reason? I stopped playing WoT due to the the fact that someone who is "out of range" is also not visible. Or whatever that was. Never understood that.

I tried it on a VR headset and it was a rapid trip to vomit town.

I actually find that surprising. Any particular reason? Maybe just weird camera movement? I've never played VR so I don't really know how it works.

In VR, it's movement the eyes see but the body doesn't sense. Done wrong, it can trigger motion sickness just like bouncing around in the sky. Some people are more sensitive to it than others. I fly planes for a living, I've never had any motion sickness in an actual plane. But the wrong kind of VR movement instantly makes me feel weird. For me, it's particularly bad for slow, lateral shifts. (like an elevator but sideways)

It doesn't happen on a monitor because your peripheral vision sees that the surroundings aren't moving. Visual motion sensing is based largely on peripheral vision. It's an interesting challenge in rethinking the way video games work. How the player's view moves about has to work differently or a good portion of the population will have trouble with it.

I reckon that makes sense. Especially since the game was never build with VR in mind. Which is sad given that they have the cockpit view. But I feel like they never really polished the game on that front. Especially in controls. But the flight is still fun.
