Shadow run powers.

One of the better games i have played has been shadow run. it is about you acting as a mercenary or spy and using weapons, computer programming and spells to accomplish your goals. this is like a matrix themed game you could say, like the movie.

So, for this 'game' we are going to focus on the "adept." this is someone that brings energies into their bodies to increase their natural strengths and skills, and even gain personality merits and flaws - flaws grant more merits, of course. this game should only be played by older children, as, it might mess them up if they start taking flaws that will ruin their lives or bring about other unseen things that i, as a parent, would not like to see my child doing. of course, if you as a parent have time to monitor your child, then this might be okay, i suppose.

So, how does one augment their body to absorb energies? i theorize that anything you do over and over, like lifting weights to build arm muscles, or walking up steps for stamina, teaching your muscles how to perform martial arts better or even studying for recall, will make you stronger, yes? this makes sense, of course, as anything you do as a habit makes the habit stronger in you and bring about changes to you, where you are more in tune with your habit, like for adults it would be drinking beer and not getting drunk so fast!

Then, you need to draw energy into you while you are doing these things to boost them permanently. if you lift weights, your strength will grow, but when you stop, your muscles will fade, yes? if you were to actually tone yourself so as to not lose muscles you produce, this would require making these changes permanent, of course. hell, making it so that you actually gain muscles faster too would be nice as well - that is another part of this.

So, to draw energy into you, you could pray to your god to imbue you with the energy to perform this task, and commit it to your body, mind and spirit. this would be the easiest most humbling way to increase your natural strengths, of course.

This could also be possible with a spirit. if you were to find a list of angles - as god might be busy - you could ask an angel for assistance in this field. if it is something they specialize in, then they might make you stronger in these ways quicker, of course.

So that is the major advantage of being a shadow run adept, statistics that represent your body, mind and soul. if you were to do this a lot, you could become quite an athlete, gymnast or martial artist too!

T o keep these powers going, it is advisable to eat the whole time, or, smell incense or herbs burning. this will take the activity as it is happening into your 'being' and these things will mingle with your cells. the energy you are giving off will come back to you naturally, being stored in your bodies cells, as the smells go into the lungs, into the blood stream, and then find a place in your bodies cells and organs.

Of course, there might be a limit to this, as there can only be so much foreign influence in your body at one time.

You know, something just dawned on me - praying for spells. they say this is possible, but we don't want to spend the spells straight away, we want to charge them for the future. of course, this will be slow in the beginning, but, if you were to practice every day, then you could increase the rate you store spells at.

~ I suppose this might sound like devil magic, but he will never grant you the powers that venus, jesus or allah would! this means that a good adept would always be more powerful than some necromancer from some dark alley, of course.

So, you choose your spells, and then you charge yourself for the next day by praying for these spells to manifest inside of you while you sleep. it is good to sleep when you are 'absorbing magic' as then your body is relaxed and ready to take on the stored energy that is stress.

~ This might make you a little bit grumpy the next day, like a olden day sage or something, due to the tensed muscles for how much spells you take on. then, you would carry this stored energy with you, as we remember that stress is stored energy.

Then, we need to find the spell list. this can be done by talking with your god to find their rules, as, praying correctly, with your eyes closed, your elbows lifted and parted and your hands under your slightly raised chin will put you into direct contact with that god.

First, what i call a 'wild talent.' this power is there to copy cat any of my other spells that work in previous volumes and my magic books - "the magic of brett nortje." understanding this spell is not neccessary, and you may only learn one 'spell' like this.

You would have to pray to gain this spell, and then let it take time to gently filter into you. if you absorb the spell too fast, you might feel sick or something!

~ So, we now know how 'priest magic / stored magic / and adaption to extremes' happens? this is good news, i am sure you will agree. forget what i told you about messing your children up, this form of 'magic or powers' is very safe and quite moral, in fact i would say it is the most moral of all the things i have done.

Boosting ones adrenaline could be done by explaining to the gods that you want to move faster for a long time, as if you were a predator in the wild. these animals always have a quick boost of speed to their normal 'outputs' and this acceleration is to catch the herbivores, yes? of course, the herbivores are better over long distances, as they spend a lot of time running in paranoia of losing their lives, loved ones or children.

Maybe it is possible to do both? if you want to boost your overall speed, you need to pray to your god and ask them to make you more like a predatory lion, or, if you want stamina, praying to be more like a buffalo or horse/zebra would do the trick?

If you were to look through a biology book or web page showing you where the muscles are for this, and the overall biology of the animal, then you could speed the process up by showing venus, jesus or allah the glands and cells and muscles you want to focus on?

"Astral perception" is something where you can see spirits and ghosts and of course demons, and attack them too! this would be where you pray for your god to shorten and make more sensitive some hairs in your eyes and ears, and have them be able to be switched on or off. these sensitive hairs will allow you t see and hear the spirit realm, of course.

~ The game rules say you can attack them, but i lack the resourcefulness to generate rules like that as yet.

So, you want to turn this on or off, as, if it is to sensitive, it will hear everything you hear in real life to too high a degree. say you are in the central business district and you get overwhelmed by the traffic, you will know what it means to have too high a sense of hearing then!

Turning them on or off would require a nervous system reconfiguration or adjustment where you control the hairs that connect them to the rest of your body. this would be like a circuit, where the hairs would either be in place to connect these nerves to the rest of your body or not. this is the only safe way to have this power, as the disorientation, as i explained, will leave you a raw nerve on the side of the street if you do not take precautions.

Alternatively, you could make the hairs thicker by adding volume to them. this can be done by 'telling your genes to thicken,' and that would be possible by eating a lot of mucous like food, like butter or lard, as this is very thick food. the coating that it will give your ears and eyes will allow the nerve hairs to be covered by this 'glob of stuff' and then simply suck up the hydration, swelling to be thicker, thereby allowing for more volume of sound and sight to go to your brain to be processed.

Of course, if you were to use some iron or fiber as well, you may be able to pick up radio frequencies, wifi and of course television signals. i am not quite sure how this would work, but if you learned the 'morse code' that every signal is based on, you could understand them, i am sure.

"Kiai" is a power where you make a loud shout and scare everyone away. this would be like a roar from a lion, of course, but how does the lion scare people with this? i would suppose it has to do with the tone and pitch of the noise, maybe making a sound like a lion would do it? maybe the battle cry of a gorilla would do it? let's try to combine the two?

Okay, so we want to make a noise with our lungs and voice box that really scares creatures away. this cold be done by praying for stronger lungs and throat voice boxes. this will see them made denser, of course, and then they will be able to discharge or emit more energy with them.

Praying for you lungs and throat to toughed up means that the muscles will increase in density, so, you might need to breathe in and out, and shout, while you are praying to the relevant god for it to be conditioned.

"kinesics" is like almost a secret language, like in dungeons and dragons the thieves cant. this will allow you to talk to people in ways only they will understand fully. this would be where you give off your own messages to the person - the better you know them the better they will understand - or detect messages from other people, like in a hunch that a policeman would have.

Of course, if you want to encode a message. you need to put emphasis on certain words, or, i have found with my nephew, i could make on syllable and he would understand the full word of the sentence. this was quite a surprise foe us.

So, you need to think of the thing you want to encode, and then pray to have this given to you by god, this secret innuendo. this will let your voice fluctuate and tones differ, so as to make a unique message that others will not pick up easily, dismissing these grunts and wheezes as a problem with communication from you or the other person. this would be especially handy if you were a spy or agent for the government that needs to keep secrets, while delivering secrets. it would also be possible to send a innuendo across media for the other people like you to intercept.

But of course, there is the chance to hear what other people mean too. this would be due to observations of them, and, understandings of them. unfortunately, this will not be quick or easy to learn, but it will form bonds between you and others that are held due to familiarity.

Actually anything can be learned or granted to you by praying. when you pray, you must make the message as clear as possible, as, the gods use electromagnetism to understand the message, and energy waves like electromagnetism to send these powers back to you. the more filtered the message, the better the spell will be.

So, if you want to learn a "spell" to cast the next day, you need to explain in the prayer exactly what it will do. the simpler the prayer, the less effective it is, "i want to resist getting drunk for the party." this is very vague, yet easy to deliver.

Now, if you want to send the proper message, a more potent spell would be that, "i want to sweat the beer out through my sweat glands so i will not get drunk easily for the party." the more technical you get, with organs and cell operations, the more potent the prayer will be.
