Any other fellow 40k fans here?

If so what is your favorite Army?

Who is your favorite Character from the game, video games, books and other media?

Mine is the Imperial Guard and my favorite Character is Commissar Cain.

I haven't read any books, although I've played a few video games based on that universe. Haven't played the tabletop miniature game either.

Don't have a favorite army or character, but the overall crazy/dark world/universe is interesting to me.

If like a character that is like Blackadder and Han Solo, I reccommend you read the Ciaphas Cain novels.

Ive known about W40K since I was in high school but I never got into the tabletop version because of all the figures you'd have to purchase and all that but I have played Dawn of War for months on the PC when it came out and my two favorite factions are the Tau and Necrons.

I've never played the miniatures game. I don't like painting the minis that much, and an already-painted army is too expensive. I've played several of the video games and read a couple of the novels though. Tau and Necrons were my favorite armies in Dawn of War too.

PSSH Xenos scum.

Love the video games, and the universe in general. However, I've never really had a chance to try the tabletop game.

As to my favorite army...

I do enjoy some W40K.

I absolutely abhor the Tau, in real life I'm a nationalist but also someone who has incredibly arrogant for humanity (in other words, I believe humans to be the superior beings to every other animal).

The tau posing a threat to the Empire of man makes me hate them.

Tyranids are cool, but get rekt like **** by space marines once they slaughter the living hell out of the IG.

Necrons are OP as hell, but there's only 5 of them in the whole universe (thank god).

My favorite character?

Khorne. Destroy everything, thirst for blood, make sure every last living being is raped, tortured, slaughtered, slaughtered again, and slaughtered a third time for good measure. He's my kind of guy, a blood-thirsty maniac.

My favorite faction?

Angry marines space marines chapter >:3 (I know they aren't canon but still, these guys are the epitome of hyper-badass space marines!)

I bought one of the games a while back, and I wasn't really fond of it. Of course back then I was still addicted to Counter Strike 1.6. After I felt I mastered that game, I moved onto League of Legends, which is the main game/multiplayer that I play. I've been playing it for about four years now. I play League so much I just collect single player games on Steam so that when I do get bored of LoL, I'll have something to play. I watch the League Championship Series which is basically a professional world wide tournament where the winning organization gets a million bucks. Basically, League is my new counter strike.

What turned me off from the warhammer game that I got was that it was so easy to figure out. You just expanded to as many outposts as you can, establish defenses, and expand. Then when your army is massive, there is a huge fight, where I mostly won. The concept was too linear and easy for me. I like games with more complexity, where there are a multitude of decisions with a multitude of consequences. That to me is more stimulating.

I've never played any of the table games.
