the original diablo had the best music and sound,its gameplay lacked compared to its sucesor diablo 2,but its feel and music were unmatched.
i remember d1 played on a soundblkaster card,with a subwoofer,with the heavy beating of drums in the music,and the dark demonic environment littered with corpses and impaled bodies.the lore was much deeper in d1 also,even though it was the same lore in 2 and 3,it had alot of mystery around it,as it explained the prime and lesser evils,but left most of it blank to the imagination
