I havent played Skyrim in a long long time and would like to start a new game.

Obviously like almoust everyone who plays Skyrim I would like to use some mods from the Workshop.

BUT, there are now almoust 700 pages filled with mods...... I have therefor no clue what to choose and certainly dont have the patience to look through it all.

Does anyone here have a list of workshop mods that he or she considers to be the best?

I would say go here: Skyrim Nexus - mods and community and look for the most endorsed mods in various categories/timeframes with the mindset that the cream rises to the top.

That way you can whittle down hundreds of pages to a handful to evaluate

Can't remember the name of it, but the mod to show all roads on the map is freaking awesome. Also use a UI mod. Will look up names when I get home. Also, as marduc mentioned, Skyrim Nexus is the best place to get mods. Get the Nexus Mod Manager and it makes life easy.

I use the following:

- ambient music overhaul
- craftable invisible helmets
- blackbooks be gone, dragonborn
- Dragonborn manor overhaul
- new ebony armor
- nude males
- nude females
- northern bathhouses
- new plants, dragonborn
- dragon falls manor
- enhanced blood
- hi res textures
- lakeview overhaul
- left hand rings
- proudspire manor
- rayek's end hideout
- skyrim monster mod purist lore friendly
- higher magic child character
- no more blocky faces
- guard dialogue overhaul
- lakeview dock

And of course I have hearthfire, dragonborn and dawnguard expansions installed. Feels like a new game.
