I know some of you must have gotten it.
I've been a big fan of the Call of Duty series, owned every single one since Call of Duty 2.
And while in my opinion Ghosts has some of the best multiplayer maps in the entire series and I do like the new customization, for my personal playing style I am chuffed to bits they created a sharp shooter specific set of weapons.
It's obvious the franchise has run out of ideas.
Sad to see the old girl die such a mediocre death.
What's really crappy about Ghosts though is its campaign.
Granted Call of Duty has always been a shooting gallery with set pieces but this time around the story arc is so unbelievably stupid I roll my eyes everytime a new plot point unfolds.
At one point while doing a mission in Caracas the city floods with water, at which point you make your way onto the roof of a building, which for no reason whatsoever other than to further the plot begins to collapse so you can be swept underwater for the sake of having the set piece.
And often times the level design is so linear and the set pieces so specific to where everyone stands I often times have no idea where the hell I should be or what I should be doing.
I have no flaming idea what the hell is going on or why I should even care.
Once again we're off to kill the living **** out of foreign people and this time we're aiming down our sites at the Spanish and Portuguese speaking peoples of South America and at times it feels the only reason we're all fighting is because the game tells us to.
It baffles me that they did such a relatively good job with the multiplayer this time around, creating some truly unique and clever map designs but make the Campaign so embarrassingly idiotic.
What are your thoughts?
