I got a PS3 for my birthday today. Any one want to make any recommendations? I am using it for rehab on coordination on my hands and fingers, which kinda stalled out in my recovery at about 75 % the old level of coordination.

Heavy Rain is rather good, also the Uncharted series, The Last of Us coming out in June looks amazing(have it pre-ordered), Dishonored is awesome, playing it now(on the Xbox though), and am in LOVE with it.

Also the Mass Effect series is always a safe bet, you can get all 3 games for 60 bucks now, also the Assassins Creed series is good too. I would read the synopsis for the first one online though, and start out with 2. Much better.

Oh, and welcome to the console gaming master race :2razz:

Uncharted is what came with it.

You know my recommendations already! :2razz:

Welcome to the console gaming club.

I've also heard good things about Dragon's Dogma, Dark Souls/Demon Souls, and the new Tales of Xillia game that will be released in August.

If you want mindless violence and the whole free roaming business in a modern setting, I'd suggest getting Grand Theft Auto 4. Though 5 is coming out, might as well just get that if you're interested.

Square-Enix makes my favorite games, especially the Final Fantasy series.

GTA5 doesn't come out until Fall, I doubt she wants to wait that long to play a game. GTA4 is fun and cheap and you can be running people over right now.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. It comes with absolutely no instructions either.

Lots of games don't now, it's all in the game.

You really don't need instructions, I played it and it was fun, the second one is better IMO. You can get the first 2 on the cheap now if you want.

I have like 5 games ordered from Amazon, so will have to see.

xbox iz better, especially if you want to get physical with the Kinect games.

Do I remember right that you're a fellow metalhead? Brütal Legend is the killer app-- friend of mine almost bought himself an Xbox simply because he didn't know the game was also available for PS3.

Street Fighter is a good series. Street Fighter 4 is cheap, Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition and Street Fighter X Tekken are damned near perfect.

Won't do sweet foxtrot-alpha for your coordination, but if you like anime and you like RPGs, Ni No Kuni is one of the most beautiful games ever made.

When I googled to make sure, I was reading something wrong. Then yea, GTA 4.

You want finger coordination? Go get Rock Band. Fun game. Tons of DLC. Great party game.

Do any of the sports games have good GM modes over many seasons? Does not matter which sport.

NHL does. Though I like Be a Pro mode better. You can start in the CHL, play a whole season, and get drafted, pretty cool.

+1 for NHL13.

MLB The Show has a really good franchise mode as well.
