I've been playing baseball sims for years... before there WERE baseball sims. Played baseball sim board games, then. Right now I'm playing OOTP Baseball 13. Best baseball sim I've ever played and I've played a LOT. Now, one of the functions of this game is that you can create a fictional player and follow him (or her I suppose) throughout their entire career. Made me think, "what if I had some DPers become actual players and see how they fared?" You would get to choose your attributes and then I'd have the game sim your career, game by game, year by year. Injuries, free agency, awards, suspensions, you name it, it could happen. The purpose of this post is to find out if any of you would be interested in being a major league player in this sim "universe". If I get enough interest, I'll run it... and if it's fun, I have some ideas about expanding. No one needs to purchase the game. I'll do all the work and just post your stats and history.

If you are interested, post here, saying that you are.

Before there were Sims? Stasis Pro Baseball?

Been hopelessly addicted to OOTP since #3. However, for "one player in the league," I prefer MLB The Show.

I played a little Strat-O-Matic and a lot of Sherco. I like the fact that Sherco allowed for more variability. When PCs first started out in the '80's I was a dedicated Earl Weaver Baseball player. Excellent game for it's time.

Been playing OOTP since #5. "One player in the league" is really not my thing, but some folks on their forums have tried this and I thought it might be a fun DP thing to do. Could always morph into a DP-OOTP League.

Micro League Baseball was my first PC baseball addiction. Then came Earl Weaver.

I've always been a strategy guy when it came to my video games. OOTP, Hearts of Iron, Rollercoaster Tycoon.

Good times.

Me too. All the computer games I've ever gotten into have been strategy-games. Baseball sims. boxing sims, civil war sims, world exploration sims, space exploration sims, and other games like these.
