Fallout New Vegas... Help!!

I really only liked Point Lookout and Anchorage all the others I could do without. I loved the New Vegas DLCs except Dead Money. Old World Blues is by far the best though, you can seduce a light switch if you want and the rest of the DLC is wacky aswell.

Broken Steel and Mothership Zeta kicked so much ass! PL and Anchorage as well, hell even the Pitt (which is by far least of the five) was badass.

I forgot about Broken Steel but I feel that should have been part of the game anyways and not a DLC. I hated Zeta, it felt like a chore to do the levels in it, the lore was really well done but the level design was horrible.

FO2 was an awesome game. Did you run into the FO2 related content in FONV yet?

There have been references to FO2 factions, towns, etc., but frankly the entire universe is so seamlessly etched in my mind that when I hear a reference that is FO2, my brain just automatically understands and accepts it in the current game! I haven't had much experience with FONW followers yet... I sincerely hope that they are not as incompetently suicidal as were my FO2 followers, lol!! The number of reloads it took for me to keep all those fools alive... oy!!!

I didn't buy any DLC's for Fallout 3. I rarely buy DLC's for any of my games.

You'll like these followers.

There is one character in particular in FONV that tells a little story which alludes to one of the more memorable parts of FO2.

Cass. That who you're referring to there?

They are very easily pirated due to how Bethesda does DLC or the GOTY edition is really cheap especially with the Steam Christmas Sale right now. I organically bought it through GFWL before Steam had them but then GFWL wouldn't let me download it so I pirated them instead.

I've never pirated a game, and never will. Then again, since I earned my living as a novelist for 15 years, I have a very high regard to copyright infringement laws and consider them sacrosync!

I can afford DLC's. I usually don't bother with them because (A) more and more gaming companies are deliberately leaving required game material out in order to get more money for DLC's that should have been included in the original game; and (B) if the game as released was satisfying, I don't need DLC's; if it wasn't satisfying, I don't want DLC's!

Not Cass. I don't remember if her story hit on FO2 or not. I'll have to go back and check that out.

Just guessed, as she is really the only follower I've had with her own extensive sub-plot.

I don't pirate full games just DLC, due to the reason you said of that companies are leaving material that should be in the game for free out to charge for DLC later.

What about Arcade Gannon and the remnants? I believe they reference FO2 since the sub-plot is about the enclave.

I'll look forward to that! The only follower I have is ED-E... and I'm just finishing up with his side-quest! Next I'll go after Tess, since she's the only other potential follower that I've run across so far. I am VERY thorough, lol. I have to do every quest, every side-quest, discover every location... I spent 168 hours on my last Fallout 3 game, and I can see right now I'm going to beat that number by a longshot with FO:NV!!

I talked to Arcade Gannon yesterday, and asked him to come with me. He wouldn't. :( Maybe I have to kiss up to his faction a bit more first.

You have to do things in Freeside for the followers then this might help.

Time for me to head out to New Vegas and kick some butt, lol! Later, guys. :)
