I took a course in programming in the mid-70's. Learned Basic, FORTRAN, COBOL, RPG-II and Machine Language. The school had an IBM 360. In the early 80's my first computer was a VIC-20 and I progressed to the 64 and 128. After that, I've kept on upgrading and building PC's till I'm at the powerhouse I have today. This one should last me at least five years.
btw, Since AMD came out with the Athlon so many years ago, my current computer is my first Intel processor...a Core i7-3930K. And I've never owned an ATI/AMD video card.
