Recently we got an XBOX, and bought a few games, like Batman: Arkham Asylum, Halo Reach, a LEGO Batman game, COD: Black Ops, Halo 3. Do you guys have any other suggestions on XBOX games?

Skyrim and Mass Effect 3 are often played on our XBox 360.
 
depends on what game genre you want.

if your into quick fast pacedplay,call of duty black ops has nazi zombies as a mini game.

if you like racing forza blows grand turismo away in physics and realism.

rpgs just pick and choose,if they made it for ps3,xbox will probably have it.

i heard the upcoming counterstrike game counter strike global offensive will be available for xbox.

hack n slash kinda lack on xbox,dark souls demon souls and all the god of wars are currently ps3 exclusive,however dark and demon souls are get ported to pc(no mention of xbox.

if your into rpgs skyrim and oblivion are a must.

there are numerous xbox game but without a spcific game preference,everyone could list hundreds of games.

edit:the above poster mentioned skyrim which is awesome soi had to add it to the list.

Well, I'm a bioware nut, so Mass Effect 1, 2 & 3 are my main recommendations if you like outer space RPGs. You didn't mention any medieval stuff, but Dragon Age 1 and 2 are good (2 is better imo).

Bethesda has some great sandbox games, Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim... as well as Fallout 3. Fallout 4 I haven't played, but I'm told it's excellent, as most Obsidian games are.

I know you're not particularly into sports, Mad, but I'd suggest the NBA 2k series and Madden NFL.

Actually, any of the Elder Scrolls games are excellent, I'm replaying through Oblivion right now. Once you finish Batman: Arkham Asylum, get Arkham City, it's much bigger and one of the best games available. Of course, the whole Halo series if you're into shooters. If you find you liked Lego Batman (assuming it's the first one), there are plenty of other Lego games to choose from.

It's hard to recommend not knowing what you like playing, but based on the few you picked, that should get you started.

Um, all of the games on that list are out.
 
Definitely fallout 3 and New Vegas. Play Fallout 3 first because it has a way better story and whatnot but you cannot play 3 after NV, it just doesn't feel right.

thats ok i said dark souls was ps3 exclusive,but i noticed today they already released an xbox version of the best hack n slash ever.
 
Got Skyrim already. My bros love it. I haven't tried it yet.

LA Noire looks good, as does Arkham City.

Got an NBA game for dad. Already have Madden 11 on the Wii.

Borderlands is one of the best games ive ever played on the Xbox and when you play with multiple people it just gets better.

If your a fan of racing simulators I suggest Forza 4. One of the best games of all time and new cars are released every month.

I liked borderlands but wasn't super-impressed with it. Too many guns, not much of a story, gameplay too repetitive and formulaic.

The amount of guns and gameplay is what I liked about it. Most of the strategy was in weapon selection and how you used that particular weapon. Story did suck though but the second one is going to fix that.

good list but demon souls is ps3 only. dark souls (sequel) is on xbox.

havent played demon souls but dark souls was epic and awesome,anyonne who likes rpgs and hack n slash needs to play it,it starts out linear and starts going open ended later on.the game has consequeces for actions,and the ai scales with the game,something almost no games do these days.

ive heard demon souls is the same but even harder,since they dont have the bonfire restart points.

just dont try those games if your good only at button mashing and grinding,both games seem to challenge you mentally every step of the game,its litterally like playing a new game each section you progress.the games are designed where you have to die multiple times before you learn a winning strategy.


i bought dark sould the day it came out because of reviews,and i was hooked,and im just a very casual gamer.it was so bad i had to stop playing at times because i couldnt progress and walkthroughs made by the worlds most elite gamers were progressing at the same rate i was.it took almost a month before a complete walkthrough existed for that game,it is just that challenging mentally,forcing you to think outside the box and create your own way every step of the way.

no justice for dark souls,or its counterpart demon soulz.

plus the english tend to bore me,i should call codename cabler,cuz he would make everyone laugh,it never failed in afghanistan.


but seriously try both games,i would try dark souls first since it is cross platform(it wasnt when i bought it)and it has bonfore restart points.then go to demon soulz after you have done dark souls since demon souls has only one restart point,making it uber hard.
