“All these are monies recovered from individuals and entities who had either hidden, stolen, diverted or were in possession of monies belonging to the nation,” the minister’s special adviser, Segun Adeyemi, told Reuters.“These recovered funds include monies withheld by past government officials, monies kept in private accounts, monies diverted to private pockets and monies in possession of government officials not disclosed after leaving government.” ~ link.

Good progress but there are signs within Nigeria of discontent: similar to the signs that eventually brought down Buhari and Ideagbon - seeing the extremely corrupt "govt" of Ibrahim Babangida a man who himself stole at least $10 billion and his wife $5 billion from Nigeria.

It will take more than one man (Buhari) to change around 40 years of bathing in corrupt practice that has seen what could have been a truly powerful economy shamble along.

Excellent news, now Prince Nabolabarootintootin can stop sending me emails to help him get his inheritance back.

Imagine how rich the US would be if we could recover a fraction of a money stolen by our government officials.

Not touching this... I'm not American and if I commented, some American would tell me it doesn't happen.
