Here in the Central Valley we should get a view, and it will continue for awhile.

In my area on the Sacramento county / Placer county line it will be in the NW around 9 PM. Each day the distance will increase from the sun and you’ll be looking into a darker night.

Thanks for reminding me. My wife pointed this out to me yesterday and I'm dying to see it. One of those times I wish I lived a bit further out in the country - tough to avoid light pollution in my area, unfortunately.
 
I just saw it. Naked eye and GLORIOUS. Best comet of my life, even beating out Hale-Bopp. Even the tail is visible unaided. Get out and see this thing.
