Can you be pro-life and a feminist? What about a pro-life socialist? Can you be a libertarian and support restrictions on abortion?

The answer is yes, though that might not be the impression many have of the pro-life movement. America spoke with seven millennial women from across the ideological spectrum who all identify as pro-life. Some describe the isolation that comes from wearing that label in certain circles. “When you are part of left politics,” Elizabeth Bruenig says, the pro-life position “can be a little bit of an island.” Other express frustration over a political landscape that does not accommodate a consistently pro-life, pro-woman ethic. “Agitated is a very good word,” says Addie Mena, “that there doesn't seem to be a place for pro-life feminists in modern society.”

But, even in the midst of what is, for pro-life voters, a particularly disheartening presidential election, these women remain hopeful about the future of the movement. And hearing their thoughtful, personal perspectives on one of the most neuralgic issues in American politics might give you hope, too.

What's up with those threads lately? The Trump Administration has been busy lately?

Easy solution.
If you want an abortion then have one..
If you don't want an abortion don't have one.

You can be as pro life as you want. But don't expect anyone else to appreciate your desire to take away their liberties.

As you take away the lives of others? As you spit on their liberty and justify murdering them?

You seem to forget that ALL people have rights!! Not just the ones you want to have rights. The right to not be murdered is a fundamental human right. It is wrong for someone to murder another innocent human being, and that is exactly what abortion is. Its a human rights issue. DNA science says that the baby in the womb is a uniquely different person from the mother.

I speak of science and law. You pro-baby-killers speak in gibberish and slogans.

You go, gurl!

People should have watched the March for Life. Most folks were young girls like me.

Whether you or I consider abortion to be murder is irrelevant. Legally it is not, and the people of America have gotten used to their right to terminate pregnancies. They will never surrender such a liberty.

Any woman is welcome to be pro-life. No one and no US law stops her.

So what's the big fuss? Each woman can act as she believes.

Whether you or I consider abortion to be murder is irrelevant.......

I disagree. It informs how I vote.

....Legally it is not.....

For the moment....

.......and the people of America have gotten used to their right to terminate pregnancies......

You over-step. Half of America is pro-life.

...........They will never surrender such a liberty.

Well, the slave holders were forced to surrender their slaves despite decades of being allowed to own them, and the baby-killers will soon lose their cover to murder babies.

Alot of people get smarter, gain more perspective, and learn to respect others more as they mature.

Give yourself some time.

Men aren't supposed to have an opinion about women's reproductive issues, remember?

Who said that?

Now, might a woman have a different perspective? Sure.

When it comes down to it, when an actual decision gets made (not hypothetical) the pregnant woman has the only legal say.

Not you, apparently.

You are a disgrace to the female gender, justifying murdering the child in the womb.

I will list thousands of older women who are pro-life if you want me too. #prolifewomen hashtag on Twitter

Nobody is stopping you from voting as you are informed. Nobody is stopping you from not getting an abortion. Nobody is stopping you from marching. Vote, abstain, march; nobody is trying to manage your beliefs. The question is why are you trying to manage other people's private decisions?

I never said older people werent pro-life...dont make stuff up, dont move the goal posts.

Oh, are you going to follow their example and fight a war to end abortion? If you don't even have the stomach to kill babies, how are you going to manage that?

I notice how you avoided addressing the more important points in that post

Look folks, the younger generation is pro life. We have outgrown our parents stupidity just like Americans in the past outgrew slavery and racism.

Those who do not understand the difference between the enslavement of an adult human, able to feel and think and a non-sentient fetus unaware and unable to feel pain really have nothing to add to a discussion about either slavery or abortion.

Historical notes

Well, the slave holders were forced to surrender their slaves despite decades of being allowed to own them, and the baby-killers will soon lose their cover to murder babies.

No, the slave holders were too late, the slaves had already been commandeered by the Union by the Emancipation Proclamation. The former slave holders were allowed to surrender, & soldiers in the field were mostly allowed to retain their personal weapons. They were allowed to eat, & to live, & the common soldiers were allowed to march home as best they could.

baby-killers is charming rhetoric. You're aware that babies aren't aborted - it's fetuses that are aborted, unless they're viable; or if the life of the woman is endangered by carrying to term.
