Most women do not regret having an abortion, study finds

Re: Call the question

When any Democrat declares a thing to be moral, my compass swings from east to west to north and south.

Did they mean the wanton sex from Bill Clinton was actually evil? Or that if Trump did it, now it is wrong? Clinton committed 11 crimes when in the white house. Trump so far none.

Based only on Democrats own reasoning Obama had a number of issues he should have been convicted of in the Senate upon charges made in the house.

1. His war against Libya where he took out a leader of the country.
2. His rules made as president despite his own objections that totally changed the commitments to the citizens and favored illegal aliens.
3. His deliberate lies over health care.
4. His so called treaty with Iran not sanctioned by our Congress.
5. His climate stance with others at Paris. This was illegal and not sanctioned by congress.

Deliberate lies over health care? Like pre-existing conditions will still be covered? Er, nope and that's Trump's lie.

All of your examples have those kinds of holes in them and are off-topic.

Re: Call the question

You need to acquire the skill of explaining what you speak of much clearer. I understood his view (EMNofSeattle) but did not get your point at all.

EMN made perfect sense.

Sorry for the use of words of more than 2 syllables.

Re: Call the question

Sorry for the use of words of more than 2 syllables.

Well, suppose I had said that to you??? How would you feel having that said back at you?

Factually EMS uses more than 2 syllables.

Did the mods decide that or did you do it alone?

Doesnt mean he's right or even understands what he wrote. He only repeats what he's been told, what's been drummed into his head.

?? So you didnt understand the point I made refuting one of your points and dont understand that the rest all have 'similar failures?'

As for off-topic, Obama is way off-topic here.

Re: Call the question

Lursa says to me: Deliberate lies over health care? Like pre-existing conditions will still be covered?

Are preexisting conditions covered or not?

Frankly in my opinion it is like two neighbors buy the same make and model the same day.

Neighbor 1 buys a brand new car.
Neighbor buys a wrecked new car.

Both want full coverage for the same price and bind the insurance firm to make the wreck the same as brand new.

Does that seem right to you?

Pre Existing actually tells those with the great bodies in fine health to pay a larger sum for the sole benefit of the not very good bodies to enjoy.

Imagine a store selling you week old bread at the price of new bread? If you grasp that as wrong, you should grasp why preexisting for the same cost is wrong too.

No, as I said earlier, you talk with some sort of code known to a few Democrats.

I studied all of my points again trying to see any failure. Did not locate even one.

Re: Call the question

So how are you different?

I can explain more about me and nothing about you nor about EMSfromSeattle.

I am assumed by society to have more wisdom. Right or wrong, as one ages and studies, they are alleged to be wiser.

We see exceptions of course.

My age at 81 is surely not the only qualifier, but it is a very important one. Such as I lived when FDR was president. I recall hearing him on moms Radio. Some you read about, I had as presidents, such as Truman and Ike.

I spent from birth to around 22 in a totally Democratic family. I recall what we used to tell to Republicans.

We lied to them. We spoke in lies in the 1960s and up to my departure in time for the 1980 election of Reagan, flat out lying to the public. Worse we lied to ourselves all the time. It has not stopped. Today Democrats lie even more than I lied or the other early Democrats lied.

Some of my former lies.
1. Reagan evicted the mentally ill from CA mental hospitals. It was the Pat Brown law signed by Pat that had to be enforced by law.
2. Barry Goldwater would nuke the Communists. Johnson put this on TV as his famous lie.
3. Democrats are behind the 1964 civil rights law. This lie is still told today. While Kennedy feared it would end his chance of a 2nd term, upon his death it was Johnson who spoke well of the law. But his fellow Democrats hated the idea and fought back to prevent it. Democrats love to take credit for a law they did not actually want.
4. We had to wage war on Libya and remove its leader. Obama sold this lie and blamed all of it on NATO.
5. Climate will kill all humans on Earth. What a magic lie told by Democrats. Man has survived much colder climates and hotter climates and still grows by leaps and bounds.

Re: Call the question

It’s not selective justification. It’s in line with the total sum development of moral theory.

translation: subjective feelings, in your case many that have been hilariously proved factually false

Re: Call the question

So your point is that abortion is flat out wrong!!???

Nope, that their interpretation of their justifications for removing the ectopic pregnancy is delusional.

Off-topic and I see you now making ludicrous attempts at justification just like I mentioned EM Seattle was doing.

He still told the lie.

Interesting connection there tho, between you and EM Seattle.

Re: Call the question

1.) I don’t call that an abortion because such a procedure is not directed at the child or intended to destroy it, versus abortion which is solely intended to destroy a child.

Of course tHough the pro-abortionists bring things like an entopic pregnancy up as a means of obfuscation. They want 100% elective abortion up the second of birth at a woman’s sole discretion. The majority of the public sees elective abortion as wrong which is why extraordinarily rare cases like this are emphasized.

But no. In the case you brought up an abortion as such is not necessary.

wait what? YOU dont call that an abortion? :lamo you have no power to change what abortion is or isnt LMAO
nothing like making up your own rules to try and support your proven wrong lies lol

this keep getting better and better, i wonder how many watch lists your posts flag??

I"m no longer surprised.

Re: Call the question

That is a wonderful story Robert. She is not alone. However, sometimes elective abortions are justified. Everyone whose mother changed her mind is very lucky to be alive.

Now, keep in mind I hate "convenience" abortions. I would never recommend doing it. But forcing a pregnant woman to carry her fetus to term is always immoral. She must be allowed to end her pregnancy if it is negatively affecting her qualify of life and the unborn baby can't live outside her body yet. There is a difference between wanting women to abort their pregnancies and wanting them to have the choice.

Re: Call the question

Blah blah blah. No you’re at the name-calling stage.

Translation: your posts are getting the **** kicked out of them and you still have zero fats to support them.

please let us know when you can, thanks!

Re: Call the question

So how are you different?

Because I am not trying in any way to/nor desire to force my beliefs on any pregnant women. I respect all women to be able to make the best choices for their lives, their current and future dependents, and their responsibilities and commitments in their lives.

As such, each woman may act in accordance with her own beliefs...none are imposed on her by me or others.

I mean, I’m getting a lot of people piling on me in anger. But their arguments are muddled and confused, like all liberal arguments these are things that fall flat if you try to get the underlying principles out of them

well your opinion is pure fantasy and nonsensical

Cars will never be healthcare and thats why nobody honest, educated and objective takes failed analogies like that serious. They are void of facts and reality.

How it works in the real world . . .

- a person gets hurt at work, gets the care they need and the company just happens to switch insurances while that person is still rehabbing. The NEW insurance company tries not to pay because they say that injury happened BEFORE and tries to stop paying for the needed rehab

- a person has asthma, their monthly meds are covered to a percentage. They switch jobs, the new insurances says they won't cover the meds because that was pre-existing so now that person is responsible for all the costs of $700 a month

- a person has a heart attack while covered, things go well, they are saved and recovered. their company shuts down, they find a new job and things are going great. They have another medical issue, the new insurance claims its related to their prior heart attack and tells them they aren't covering it.

yeah that sounds great! lets continue to let insurance companies try that! LMAO

these are real-life examples of what the insurance companies try, trying to equate this to old bread, broken cars and painting the insurance companies as a victim is laughable and dishonest and again why nobody honest educated and objective will take those failed claims seriously

LIBERAL!!!! lmao DRINK!!!

1.) you are? LMAO i havent seen one. Looks like you just posted ANOTHER lie you cant support. Prove your claim, links? facts? post numbers?
2.) what arguments? again be specific proof your claims how come you NEVER do that. Ive seen others provided facts that prove you wrong but you never do that in return, how come?

SO here we are in the same place, please provided us with the facts that support your claims and make the true and all the factual examples of people piling on you in angry, thanks
this is gonna be great!!!

:popcorn2:

An overwhelming majority of women who get an abortion do not regret the decision to undergo the procedure, according to a new study published in the academic journal Social Science & Medicine on Sunday.

That's not surprising. I think the women who don't regret their abortions are, more often than not, the ones who made the conscious choice to do so, without any pressure from a partner or spouse. I know if I'd ever gotten pregnant, I would have had an abortion also, with no regrets afterward, other than having to spend extra money to get it done.

What horrible things would I like to see imposed on people?

Oh, I can think of two things to start with.

1. Forcing women to stay pregnant and give birth against their will, and
2. Forcing women to stay abstinent for life as punishment for never wanting or having children.

Both those things are very horrible in my view. Yet conservative prolife guys seem to have no problem with either of them.

Not allowing women to have abortions tops the list.

Not allowing gays to marry.

Not allowing gays to associate publicly

Overall discrimination against gays (jobs, health care, schools, etc)

Making sex outside marriage illegal (dont deny it, you long for a theocracy)

Women subordinate to men (property again)

birth control illegal

women not allowed to work outside the home (esp not married ones)

The list would look a great deal like what the Wahhabi Muslims impose in their theocracies.

Your list is a lot better than mine. And I agree; I think that poster would impose all those things on people if he (or she) had his/her way.

Re: Call the question

It is. You said it is morally okay according to your theory presented on morality to allow people to shoot in self defense. Does the person who kills someone in self defense have to be 100% certain the person they killed was actually going to kill or harm them? Not just take their property, but actually kill them.

Re: Call the question

There is no single circumstance where an abortion is needed for the life of a woman. None.

That's your opinion, which isn't fact. Thankfully, you don't get to decide that, for me or any other woman. If a woman doesn't want to stay pregnant and give birth, she can have an abortion if she chooses. And she won't have to "justify" or "explain" her decision, to you or anyone else.
