The only relevant post on this forum that needs to be made and is the truth is this one. Abortion is murder. Period, end of statement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unless the health of the mother is involved, and if you force that birth to happen and the mother dies, even though an abortion could have saved her life...who pays for that. Either in jail time or in compensation?
It can't be the doctor, he's following the law. it can't be the hospital, they are following the law. It can't be the father, obviously. Not the child, even if in the end, it was the child that would have killed her.
So, it would have to be compensation as paid out by the government for forcing the birth to happen. But if you say no to that....then what you are supporting is government sanctioning of murdering the mother and taking an innocent life that way. Which goes directly against your whole point of protecting the life of a child under the same premise.
Now, let's say you use the argument that she shouldn't have had sex in the first place. Well, ok, but what about the majority of women who plan to have children and only find out about complications after the fact?
Here's another thought; what if a woman gets pregnant by rape. So, not only is she forced to bear the rapist's child and have to live with that trauma, what if the resulting birth kills her? Obviously, he would pay for it...but in the meantime, her death would have taken nine months to happen. is that fair to the mother?
How about this one: miscarriage. Do you bring in the mother and father for questioning then charge them for murder or manslaughter?
the issue is not as easy as you make it out to be....
