Why do conservative males, when talking about abortion, continue to post stuff that simply isn't true, quote known liars, perpetrate old wives nonsense about women and refuse to believe any of the legal, scientific facts or studies about women and abortion?

What is it about the topic of abortion to causes intelligent males to become mental and moral midgets?

One cannot unlock a mind rigidly closed by dogma. They choose to remain willfully ignorant so that they need not ever confront the weakness of their beliefs...take out one brick, then another, like evolution, and then another....and eventually it all collapses. And it is not exclusively males.

This pattern is not confined to abortion. Males who self identify as conservative, now as Trumpets, do this on all subjects because it is a core tenet of Trumpism.

Alternate facts over truth. It's in their rule book.

--PP is selling aborted fetal body parts
--Most abortions are for convenience
--abortion is irresponsible
--Innocent babies are torn apart screaming in the womb, in pain
--Most abortions consist of dismemberment
--Democrats want to legalize post-birth abortion :doh

Most conservative males do not post anything in the abortion sub-forum, yet aside from that your rant is perfectly reasonable.

This I don't want to believe, but certain Democrats have stated so. Gov Northram for one. There are others. I am absolutely against any abortion of a human having the ability to survive outside the womb. Including those not yet born.

Look in the mirror... fundamentalist social conservativism of the evangelical variety is a dying breed in America. They're old, they're ignorant, they're increasingly irrelevant. Their congregations are thinning in number, unless you count the corporate mega churches, who, let's face it, are not run by real Christians. There will be half the Christians there are today in 20 years.

When a culture is dying, it grasps hard, it shouts loud, it repeats itself and tries to drown out opposition because it knows that it will be forced into silence soon. That it will go quietly into the night.

The only thing fundamentalist social conservativism in the U.S. has as a legit strategy for survival is populism. They work tirelessly to get their believers into key positions in office, and through voter disenfranchisement. But even these strategies will eventually not pay off.

The majority of the United States is in favor of pro-choice policy. The majority of the U.S. believe that it's a matter between a woman and her doctor. This majority is not a bunch of "pro-abortion' activists. It's just regular people who don't think the topic of abortion is that important. Most are fairly neutral on it.

So, the mouth foamers... give it time, about 10-20 years. There will be less of them and we will be the more peaceful for it.

Yeah, I initially rolled my eyes at the original post....

Reading that someone still believes that an abortion can happen after birth made the OP seem a little more on point.

(FWIW, most conservative men I know do not believe in such crap....)

Conservative males only become pro choice when they are on the hook for child support. Just ask Rump, if he had his way when Marla became pregnant with his luv child poor Tiff would never had been born.
