From Fox News:

While North Korea routinely makes headlines for its missile tests, nuclear program and the various apocalyptic pronouncements of dictator Kim Jong Un, one of Pyongyang's most horrific tools of abuse rarely gets a mention and is largely unchecked: the ongoing implementation of forced abortion.

...Kim Dong-hyun, an analyst and journalist for Chosun News-Press and a former Air Force Officer for the Republic of Korea, added.... “Pregnant women can be made to lie on the ground. Then [guards] put a long and wide piece of wood on her stomach. They pick two people for the job. These two people could be the son of the woman, her husband or lover, or any relative. These men stand on top of the wooden board like a see-saw,” Kim said. “Using a burning iron is another method. The punisher carries a long piece of metal and lets it burn until red or yellow, then puts it into the pregnant woman. A woman can die from this punishment, and often, if she survives, she cannot walk properly."

...Rape in the work camps is also a major problem and often lead to forced abortions. Babies conceived through rape, often by soldiers, are often aborted because sex is impermissible in the camps, therefore, the thinking goes, any child that might arise from such an encounter must be eliminated. My God, those poor women.

Let the entire civilized world condemn North Korea for these horrific and ongoing human rights abuses.

Maybe that could start with our POTUS?

Such behavior isnt surprising...their use of torture is well-known. Yet no govt seems willing to step in to try and liberate those people dominated by a sadistic tyrant. The current administration seems more focused on praising him tho, not stopping human rights violations (Sorry, this isnt about abortion here in the US, you had to know where this OP would go. Supposedly, to some, The Donald is the leader of the 'civilized world'. Wouldnt your request start with him?).

Chairman Kim has a great and beautiful vision for his country,

Donald Trump's Kim Jong-un Flattery Is Dangerous | National Review

President Trump says he is unable to “speak to” North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un’s infamous legacy of mass executions, assassinations, and killings of his own people. During a lengthy, at-times-rambling Friday morning conversation with Fox & Friends, the president boasted of his meeting with Kim earlier this week: “I got along with him great. We have a great chemistry together. That’s a good thing.” Fox News host Steve Doocy asked: “What about the people he’s killing?” And the president replied: “I can’t speak to that.

Trump on Kim Jong Un’s Killings: ‘I Can’t Speak to That’

Trump praised Kim at a campaign rally on Saturday, saying that he and the North Korean leader "fell in love."
"I was really being tough and so was he," Trump said. "And we would go back and forth. And then we fell in love. No really. He wrote me beautiful letters."

But Trump says Kim is a great guy and can be trusted. Surely you don't doubt the great orange king oompa loompa Trump's comments do you?

What I don't doubt at all is that you have even the slightest interest in this human rights abuse except as an opportunity.

So you're saying Trump didn't say Kim was a great guy and can be trusted? Just trying to get a feel here. Because you seem to believe everything that comes out of the orange oompa loompa's mouth.

I'll repeat myself: You don't have the slightest interest in this human rights tragedy. And are crapping up my thread with your juvenile whataboutism. You'll get no feel from me.

I mean, does this country have any reason to talk? Highest rate of imprisonment in industrialized world, in company with some pretty deplorable countries. Locking people up in cages under inhumane treatment. Destroying entire countries and killing tens of thousands of innocent people. Electing a ***** grabber and putting someone on SCOTUS with questionable history of treating women. The treatment of women who speak out against rape or sexual harassment is pretty bad as well

There are states here in the US that have proposed using force to make women remain pregnant against their will.

I see that as an enormous horror for women, incredibly disrespectful, and it would be a human rights violation. It's certainly not Constitutional. We have Constitutional rights that protect our bodily sovereignty, our self-determination, our liberty, our privacy, our reproductive choice, and our lives.

Of course you'll run away since you know damn well you will never criticize Trump. Now that I've proven your hypocrisy, you're free to run away now.

What they do to women is inhumane and they should all be jailed for their crimes against mankind and humanity. I hope the North Korean leader in due course is arrested, tried and jailed to hard labor for every single second of his remaining life. And the same goes for his government/leadership/military leaders.

May they all burn in a human hell of hard labor and being fed like the people of North Korea were fed during his dictatorship.

I have criticized Trump. I've also objected to the daily "2-minute hate" threads, as I call them, that have plagued this board since Trump's election.

But once again, because I understand that for you this is an exquisitely subtle point, the topic of this thread isn't Trump; it's North Korea's human rights abuse in these rapes and forced abortions.

For clarity, I'm sure you also "objected" to the same type of daily "2-minute hate threads" during the eight years of Obama's presidency?

The topic is human rights abuses in NK which INCLUDES YOUR SUPPORT of the man (Trump) who kisses the ass of the dictator that allows this to happen. I understand that you REFUSE to condemn the actions of the man (Trump) who PRAISES the leader of NK who allows these human right's violations to happen and you will CONTINUE TO SUPPORT Trump and his actions. Don't worry, I'd be embarrassed too if I supported a man who praises the monster of NK that allows these human rights violations to continue. This is why Trump supporters PROVE time after time they don't give a **** about anyone. You're faux outrage is dismissed since you don't REALLY care about human right's abuses in NK and your support of Trump shows it. Note that.

I'm not embarrassed, nor am I outraged. I am, however, entertained by your posturing here.

Not playing this little game with you. I joined this board in August on 2011, and all my posts are available for you to read. No matter what lean, ad homs are the refuge of those whose hysterical natterings are only parroted talking points.

I'm not embarrassed, nor am I outraged. I am, however, entertained by your posturing here.

Then you have just proven me 100% right. Someone that REALLY cared about human right's violations by NK like this would be both embarrassed and outraged over the president they support Kissing that dictator's ass like he has done. Thank you for you faux outrage over this and proving me right. :lamo

I did make a pretty direct argument showing why, altho the US in the past and other countries all could have done/do more, that the current administration is fawning all over the NK leader and encouraging it

He is doing the opposite of what you asked for in your OP, and you dont even acknowledge it:

Let the entire civilized world condemn North Korea for these horrific and ongoing human rights abuses.
Again, The Donald is supposedly the leader of the "civilized world." (not an opinion I share but he does hold such a position)

For those unaware, tens of thousands of women and little girls are being trafficked to China as sex slaves. When they're used up, they're "repatriated." From Reuters:

One trafficking survivor, who was repatriated three times before finally escaping to South Korea, told the launch event how pregnant women sent back to North Korea were forced to undergo abortions.

The woman said she was sent to a concentration camp where a doctor ripped her baby from her body - without anaesthetic - and tore him limb from limb.

The London-based Korea Future Initiative urged all states to help North Koreans in China escape and said embassies should accept asylum seekers as refugees. North Korean women tell of slavery and gang rape in Chinese cybersex dens - Reuters

If you want these things addressed at a national level, as you requested in your OP, it starts at the top.

And not with flattery, "love," and enablement.

Sick, sick mind! Unable to have a single thought that does not revolve around Trump hate! Trump, Trump, Trump!

Not my fault you support a sick trump who supports human rights violations by giving praise to the NK leader. Nice personal attack though.

Sorry folks, he says they "fell in love", so there is no way any of you are going to weasel your way out of this, even if you accuse us of hijacking, because it isn't hijacking at all.
It isn't hijacking because no American leader in history has EVER said that they "fell in love" with a member of the Kim Dynasty that runs the Hermit Kingdom of North Korea.

Trump "fell in love". He said so. He didn't "have a productive meeting", he doesn't say that he wrestled concessions, he says they fell in LOVE.

LOVE

That means that he LOVES the man and his ideas, his policies, the way he runs the country, and his values.
Including what we read about in that Fox News story.

Sorry...nope...you will not be allowed to separate the two. I will not let you and neither will anyone else.
There is a reason Trump is so universally reviled.

Is that why Trump kept talking about Kim's rocket?
