Polls show highest level of support in decades for legal protections for abortion

Apparently you'd rather see children go without and just keep adding to those unnecessarily. Certainly no moral High Ground there.

Yes I would rather see someone wear old shoes than be murdered.

I've seen many lists of reasons why women get abortions and "convenience" is never listed. Do you have a source for that?

Show me one of the lists you have seen and lets analyze it.

Go without what? We have a massive welfare state and one of our biggest problems is obesity...there is more than enough food in this country. Sure you dont get new $200 shoes all the time but you have the necessities. Even school is free.

Convenience is the reason for 99% of abortions. The remaining 1% is rape and incest. Prove me wrong.

They go without families. With each newborn added, it means another child waiting does not get adopted. Did this really need to be spelled out for you? And you accused Minnie of not being able to do math?

I asked you to show me sources where women's reasons for abortion list 'convenience/inconvenience.'

Let's see it. There are many lists out there. Prove it or stop just posting your opinions. So far you have been nearly completely wrong on everything.

No, but you do.

Do not lie about other people...you cannot answer for me but it's not surprising since you dont hesitate to post wrong information consistently here.

So if no, then why do you keep crowing happily about PP doing those abortions, if those 'inner city black and brown' people have the same human DNA as 'country folk/white people'?

What does it make them then? A pickup truck? A plum?

It makes them a human. Are you going to tell me "who says" all humans are entitled to rights, to life? You tried 'biology' and I explained why that doesnt work: because biology does not recognize rights. Science has nothing to do with rights. We all know that in nature, nothing even has a right to life

You said youve never seen it on the lists YOU have seen. So post one of the list YOU have seen and lets go over it.

Nope, I asked you first. You made the claim that 99% of women have abortions out of convenience. Now prove it. Source the 99%. Source the reasons. They're your claims, you support them.

Surely, the lists YOU have seen show it.

Convenience is the reason for 99% of abortions. The remaining 1% is rape and incest. Prove me wrong.

Actually , the 2004 AGI survey that posts why women seek abortions
12 percent of the time because the mother has health problems and
13percent of the time possible fetal health problems.

From the 2004 table of the following study:
Reasons given for having abortions in the United States

Reasons given for having abortions in the United States

I disagree . Health problems are very serious ( my kidneys were damaged and my life was threatened during my first pregnancy ) . You said 99 percent of abortions are for convenience and I proved you were wrong.

Cowardly on your part. I have a hunch that if we went through your lists line for line, most of them are due to convenience issues whether it be money, career, or lifestyle.

Oh my God thank you for posting that, that is a beautiful list. Lets go through this thing line for line.

reason % of abortions
1. rape or incest 1 (0.4-1.3)
2. mother has health problems 3 (2.8)
3.possible fetal health problems 3 (3.3)
4. unready for responsibility 21
5. is too immature or young to have child 11 (12.2)
6. woman's parents want her to have abortion <0.5
7. has problems with relationship or wants to avoid single parenthood 12 (14.1)
8. husband or partner wants her to have abortion 1
9. has all the children she wanted or all children are grown 8 (7.9)
10. can't afford baby now 21 (21.3)
11. concerned about how having baby would change her life 16
12. doesn't want others to know she had relations or is pregnant 1
13. other

So line 4-13 (assuming on 13) are for convenience...or better yet SELFISHNESS (toxic femininity) issues. So MY BAD its not 99% but merely 92.6% of abortions that are due to convenience/selfishness/toxic femininity issues. My sincerest apologies I was mistaken. @Lursa

No they dont. Planned Parenthood needs to have their focus 100% on the inner city to help as many black women as possible murder little black babies.

You are contradicting yourself. BTW, racism has no place in the debate.

The only exception I give is if the mother will die because that is consistent with self defense law.

How is it racism to want black women to have access to the great and important womans health services offered at Planned Parenthood?

You did not post the percentages.

At least 12 percent up to 25 percent of women had abortions for health reasons.

12 percent aborted for the woman’s health and
13 percent aborted because of possible fetal health reasons.

Do you think health is just a convenience?

The percentages are in parenthesis.

The fact is that ALMOST ALL abortions are done because the TOXIC FEMALE was selfish.

Holds true that the majority of abortions, by far, are for selfish TOXIC FEMININITY.

Convenience is the reason for 99% of abortions. The remaining 1% is rape and incest. Prove me wrong.

Condensed Guttmacher Institute reasons given for abortions:

Not ready for a child or another child ………….. 25%
Cannot financially support a child ……………… 23%
Have other people depending on me.. .………….19%
Unstable relationship with father or other………….8%
Not mature enough………………….………………..7%
Job and education leave no time for a child……….4%
Health of mother………………………………………4%
Health of fetus…………………………………………3%
Incest, rape, family and father want abortion……….2%
Other……………………………………………………6%

You may call poverty, immaturity, overwhelming responsibilities and education just convenient reasons to abort, but most people would consider those reasons not to bear a child. Being raised in poverty and/or in unstable insecure conditions increases the chances of childhood sexual and physical abuse and adulthood incarceration, drug abuse, poverty, joblessness. Sometimes bearing a child is an inhumane decision.

I would call it that because that is what those reasons are...

Yea its way better to get murdered.

When I read about all the reasons that are listed as to why a woman chooses to have an abortion ...
convenience NEVER enters my mind.

I have to laugh when pro lifers say most abortions are performed for " convenience ".

If a woman does not have the finances to continue a pregnancy let alone raise a child.. Are we supposed to assume that paying for the pregnancy let alone the cost of raising an child is
just an " inconvenience" ?

If she does not want to be a single parent...we should just assume that being a single parent is merely a little
" inconvenience" ?

If her born children are already almost grown and she accidentally became pregnant during the change of life are we supposed to assume that experiencing a pregnancy that late in life is merely an " inconvenience "?

If a woman already has a few children and is already struggling just to feed the children she already has ...
should we assume that having another child at that point in her life would just be an " inconvenience?

I think NOT.

To me those reasons are not reasons of " convenience.".

That is your opinion but those are reasons given for abortion that relate to having a child being inconvenient for the mother. Sorry but that is inarguable. Just because it makes you uncomfortable does not mean its false.

Most abortions are performed because having a baby is inconvenient for the mother. TOXIC FEMININITY

The reasons do not make me uneasy.

In the United States we have a right to privacy , a right to bodiliy autonomy, and we have the First amendment which grants us a right to Religious Liberty.

And yes , the Religious Coaliation for Reproductive Choice sincerely believes that access to abortion is a part of Religious Liberty in the US.

Religious Liberty

Our religious principles: We are attuned to the important role of our diverse faiths in personal and public life. We treasure the religious freedom guaranteed Americans since our nation’s founding.

Our advocacy position: Good policy allows people of all religions to follow their own faiths and consciences in their own lives. In reproductive health, rights and justice, we define religious liberty as the right of a woman to make thoughtful decisions in private consultation with her doctor, her family and her faith. The religious beliefs of others should not interfere.

Poverty may be fueling America's opioid crisis, a new study suggests.
HealthDay Reporter:By Steven Reinberg; March, 26, 2018

Of the more than 515,000 Americans who have died from drug overdoses since 2006, most lived in poor areas where there were few job opportunities ......economic and social conditions appear to be driving the geographic differences in overdose rates, with some parts of the country bearing heavier burdens than others: Shannon Monnat; associate professor of sociology at Syracuse University in New York.

"There is a strong correlation between drug use and overdoses and social and economic factors in the lives of people ....... we have to think about more than just treatment and overdose, we also need to think about the social determinants of drug addiction and overdose."

..... rate of overdose deaths in U.S. counties was nearly 17 deaths per 100,000 people. But the rate varied ...... In some counties, deaths from drug overdoses topped 100 deaths per 100,000, Monnat found.

Well thats the most insane thing Ive heard today. Im guessing that just because they call themselves "Religious...." does not mean they are actually religious.

Kinda like the Patriot Act had nothing to do with patriotism.

Pro Faith. Pro Family. Pro Choice.
The Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice (RCRC) is a broad-based, national, interfaith movement that brings the moral force of religion to protect and advance reproductive health, choice, rights and justice through education, prophetic witness, pastoral presence and advocacy.
RCRC values and promotes religious liberty which upholds the human and constitutional rights of all people to exercise their conscience to make their own reproductive health decisions without shame and stigma. RCRC challenges systems of oppression and seeks to remove the multiple barriers that impede individuals, especially those in marginalized communities in accessing comprehensive reproductive health care with respect and dignity.

Yea I dont care. I dont respect religion nor the people running those organizations. I went to private Catholic school for 8 years and left thinking religion was a cult. The rest of the education (clearly) was fantastic though.

I only care about the truth. And my claim of almost all abortions being due to the child being inconvenient was proven true by people supportive of abortion. That is what is so crazy to me, people on the left who pride themselves on empathy and caring and crap like that, are the ones who support killing babies for such selfish reasons.

No need to thank me, thank the truth.
