If the Republicans are successful in overturning Roe v Wade, where are they going to take their paramours when they become “with child?”

Abortion pills will be widely available should abortion become illegal. Pushers need to find alternate ways of new business as marijuana becomes decriminalized.

Anyone who thinks that overturning RvW will drastically reduce abortions is nuts.

Drug pushers will fill that void. Think of all the small towns that still have access to illegal drugs. It just will not be that hard. Less safe to be certain.

To the civilized states that will still have legal abortions. Keep in mind that even before Roe some states already had legal abortions and many will still have them if Roe gets overturned.

Hopefully, but the reality is that numerous states have been slowly legislating away abortion rights by passing bogus laws meant to make operating an abortion clinic impossible.

I like that many major businesses are threatening to move their business out of any states that effectively outlaw abortion. Bubba can whittle away at women’s right to choose, and boycotters can whittle away at states bottom line.

The answer to drastically reducing abortion rates is improving birth control options for men and women and making them accessible financially to all. Safer options for women would help women who currently cannot use current options.

But that would involve...well...science.

Roe v Wade is not going anywhere. The Republicans will see to that. If they lose the abortion issue, they lose their grip on a huge swath of GOP voters for which Roe v Wade is their one and only issue. They won't let that happen. Better to keep dangling that carrot in front of the rubes like they have for the past 40 years.

The problem is the level of legal aggression they are willing to resort to in some of these States and I don’t think it’s good enough to say “well it’ll just be overturned” because in the meantime, if I understand US law correct, the law will stand until the courts decide and sometimes courts agree and sometimes they strike down and appeals can go for ages until it reaches the Supreme Court and meanwhile thousands of women and girls are hurt by these laws.

You're absolutely right. But there are those who will accept the 'law is the law' as long as no one can avail themselves of the law.

To another state or Canada.
