Your answer is hardly specific, but it sounds to me as though your views on crime and punishment are indistinguishable from those of the society in which we live. In the coming years and decades, we'll see what happens to this society, whether it endures and flourishes or falls apart like a cheap bag of garbage, it let that be our verdict on whose views are sick and foolish. The problem I have with rape is the fact that often it is the victim who is put on trial. "Do you always dress that way, miss?"
I would like to see rape treated as any other aggravated assault. If he beats her up or he rapes her, it's all the same to me. If there is evidence to support it, convict him.
Adultery, like marriage is a civil matter, not criminal, and as such should be dealt with accordingly.
As I said before, this is in a hypothetical built-from-the-ground-up society. Bear in mind the caveats from #60, which I took the time to disclaim in great detail.COTO seems to think the solution to overpopulation is the death penalty for any crimes he deems are punishable.
