[W:69] Pro-Life extremists are taking us back to the dark ages

The Pro-choice side makes the debate about women's rights because they do not want to engage with the Pro-lifers actual argument....that the unborn child is a human life. Instead they scream about an attack on women's rights in order to distract from what abortion really is. Murder.

That's a first principle in war. De-humanize the enemy. De-value. It's just too hard for most people to kill other human beings. Making them inanimate is even better for your purpose.

You do realize that a zygote, embryo, or fetus is not an inanimate object, right? How do you dehumanize a human fetus. It is human. Have you found a prochoicer that has acknowledge that a human fetus is not human?

If it is human then it's a person.

It is not about women’s rights.

Actually, Pro Choice allows each pregnant woman to follow her own religious beliefs or her own conscience.

I will not support a law or a country that does not allow elective abortions .

On the other side of the coin,
I will not support a law or a country that would force a woman to have an abortion even if the fetus were so malformed it would cost the taxpayers millions of dollars and would never be able to leave the hospital.

If the government had the power to ban abortions it has the power to force abortions.

Each woman with input from her doctor and her faith beliefs or her conscience should decide if she wishes to abort or continue a pregnancy.

False.

States have tried and failed to pass personhood amendments for an unborn/embryo/fetus.

From:

Personhood laws are laws designed to extend the legal concept of "personhood" to pre-born humans. Specifically, these laws give legal status as a person to any fertilized human egg, from conception until birth. This includes the zygote before it has implanted, and according to medical science, implantation is the beginning of a pregnancy. This conflicts with the traditional legal position that the unborn child is part of the mother, and its interests are the same as the mother's.[1]

These laws constitute one of the newest trends of attack in a long list of ways to make life really hard for American women who actually want to participate in their world by controlling their own reproduction. The attempt to pass such laws is largely restricted to the United States
